According to reports, King Charles III has invited the couple to attend the event that is set to take place on Saturday, 6th March 2023. While that may be the case, the couple has yet to respond to the invite.
It is a very difficult time for the monarch, as he knows that whatever decision he takes, it could backfire. By not inviting Harry and Meghan, it could give them further ammunition to use against the firm for poor treatment.
Meanwhile, if they are there, it could also backfire since the event could be used to upstage the monarch. However, if the preparations are made well, this could give William and Harry the chance to mend things.
A source confirmed the following: “With the coronation just a few months away, appropriate actions need to be taken imminently.
“The Palace is trying to come up with solutions to keep the peace and form some kind of reconnection and unity between William and Harry.”
Nevertheless, the same cannot be said of William. Harry’s memoir has shown him in a negative light including claims that he shouted and screamed at the Duke of Sussex at a Megxit meeting, as well as assaulting him.
Therefore, sources stress that William is not convinced by Harry’s motives moving forward. The following comments confirmed as much: “[William] feels that Harry is all smoke and mirrors and is not to be trusted.
