WWE Smackdown Results returned as Carmella joined the commentary team since she stirred up trouble between Morgan and Asuka on social media that led to this match.
After Asuka and Morgan jockeyed for position, Asuka hit a German suplex and a knee for a pin attempt, and then locked in an armbar as Raquel Rodriguez came out to confront Carmella.
Nikki Cross joined them as well and took a seat on the announce desk.
Morgan took advantage to fight free and hit an Oblivion in the corner for a near pinfall.

Natalya joined the group but stayed on the far side of the ring as Asuka hit a series of kicks and Morgan wanted more. Morgan slapped her and Asuka unloaded a combination.
Morgan rolled Asuka up, but Asuka countered and locked in a armbar for the win.
After the match, Carmella cheap shotted Asuka with a kick and each got involved before Raquel hit a Tajana Bomb on Nikki and helped Morgan up.
Morgan responded with a double knee and Asuka hit her with a kick to stand face to face with Morgan again.
Intercontinental Championship – GUNTHER (c) w/Kaiser Wilhelm, Giovanni Vinci vs. Madcap Moss w/Emma
They tied up off the bat and GUNTHER backed Moss into a corner for a couple of chops, and Moss took him down and then backed him in the corner for a couple of shoulders.
Moss kept at it and they traded blows until GUNTHER hit a boot for a pin attempt.

Every time Moss got something going, GUNTHER was able to shut him down as he tried to slow the pace, and when he went for a Thez Press Moss caught him and hit a spinebuster in a pretty cool counter.
They traded blows in the middle of the ring and GUNTHER got the upper hand as he chopped Moss down and went for a powerslam Moss slipped free of.
Moss hit a clothesline off the ropes for a pin attempt, but GUNTHER slipped out of his neckbreaker attempt and they traded suplex attempts before Moss his one and a neckbreaker for a near pinfall.
GUNTHER eventually overpowered Moss to hit a powerbomb for the win to retain the Intercontinental Championship.

Sami Zayn’s moment
Sami Zayn came out to a hero’s welcome and various chants from his hometown fans including “You deserve it!”
After asking in the fans’ adulation a clearly emotional Zayn talked about how everyone says WrestleMania is the show of a lifetime, but for him the Elimination Chamber is the match of his life and Roman Reigns won’t just be facing him but the people of Montreal as well.
This was an awesome ending to the show and it was great to see the outpouring of love and support for Zayn. It’ll be criminal is he loses to Reigns tomorrow.
