Despite receiving praise for refraining from criticizing other members of the Royal Family in his recent interview with Gabor Maté, Prince Harry’s relationship with his relatives is reportedly still strained.
Prince Harry’s Interview With Trauma Expert Dr Maté Was Telling-‘There Will Be A Lot Of Relief,’ Says Richard Fitzwilliams
That is according to royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams. Harry took a different approach during his recent interview where he shared details about his past drug addiction, his experiences in Afghanistan, and his childhood.
He shared that he had always felt like an outsider in his family, and even his mother, Princess Diana, had similar feelings. He also openly talked about his upbringing in a “broken home” and how Meghan Markle had played a significant role in saving him.
And given that Harry decided to focus more on himself, rather than the firm, he was praised. In his comments, Richard said: “There was no direct attack on the monarch.
“Although it was all in the background – the past he was escaping from – there was no direct attack at all on any member of the Royal Family. I think there will be a lot of relief and thanks.”
This is significant for the following reasons. First of all, it may suggest that Harry is trying to rebrand himself moving forward. This is vital given that polls have shown there is a decline in the popularity of Harry and Meghan.
Secondly, it is also vital since it showed that Harry was trying to come across as more relatable. And that is vital if Harry wants to receive a positive response if he were to attend Charles’ coronation.
The following comments confirmed as much: “He was rather like a pupil listening to a teacher. There was a giggle or laughter, and he was admiring Dr Maté’s book.
“It was perfectly obvious that he admires Maté but his answers were not that of a sophisticate.” So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
