Over the past decade, Charlotte Flair has ruled the WWE Women’s division. She’s won the RAW, Smackdown & NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships a combined 14 times, has main evented WrestleMania, and blazed a trail for women’s wrestlers to follow the whole time.
However, she’s far from done making history yet – and has some goals in mind for the next few years in WWE, including teaming up with Bad Bunny.
Charlotte Flair Views Bad Bunny As ‘A Student Of The Game’
While speaking with The Athletic – Charlotte Flair would list having a mixed tag team match alongside Bad Bunny as one of her top three goals in WWE.
“Well, I can beat my dad’s record for one, to hold the most world titles in the company. Also to have a mixed tag match with Bad Bunny. And I’ve never won Money in the Bank.”
When asked why Bad Bunny was on this list – Flair had the following to say.
“He’s a student of the game. I hope he reads this: I have never asked to take a picture with a celebrity when they’ve come backstage, but I was like, “Can I please get a picture with Bad Bunny?” What he has accomplished within our industry is incredible. It just goes to show how much respect he has for what we do and how, when he puts his mind to something, he goes for it 100 percent. I thought it was really cool. Well, I want to tag team with Bad Bunny.”
A Potential Main Event For Backlash Later This Month
The next time WWE fans expect to see Bad Bunny around is later this year for Backlash. With Bad Bunny announced as the host for the event in Puerto Rico – tickets moved fast.
No matches have been announced at this time – but with Flair putting this idea out in the world, a mixed tag team match featuring Flair & Bad Bunny could be on the menu.
Flair is set to defend the Smackdown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 39 against Rhea Ripley. That could set up a follow up match at Backlash very easily.
Ripley is a member of The Judgement Day faction, and with Damien Priest previously working alongside Bad Bunny at WrestleMania 37 – there’s a story to be told.
