WWE Smackdown Results returned as Rey Mysterio met with Santos Escobar and his group pledged their support to Rey if Dominik tries anything, and Rey handed them LWO (Latino World Order) shirts.
Drew McIntyre and Sheamus vs. Imperium (Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci)
Drew decided he’d start it off against Vinci and after Vinci attempted a arm drag, Drew dropped him with a clothesline.

Kaiser blind tagged in mad after a brief double team, Sheamus blind tagged in and hammered Kaiser with some clotheslines.
It didn’t take long for Sheamus and Drew to have some issues cooperating, and Imperium tried to take advantage without success as they sent Imperium to the floor and then stared at each other.
Drew cleaned house and readied for a Claymore, but Sheamus tagged himself in, and while they argued Vinci hit Sheamus with a dropkick to the back to send him into Drew and send Drew to the floor.
After Vinci attempted a pin attempt, Sheamus hit a knee and then a Brogue Kick for the pin while Drew nailed Kaiser with a Claymore.
Despite the victory, they stood nose to nose and glared at each other after the match.
Cody says his piece
Cody Rhodes came out and asked the crowd what do they want to talk about, and he said we could talk about WrestleMania being here.
All of his cards are on the table with no ace in the hole, and hole it’s about leaving no stone unturned so he can do what he said he would and become WWE Universal Champion.

He’s the most prepared he’s ever been, but he feels wildly unprepared.
Cody went on about how he could talk about anything, including how the WWE Universe welcomed him back and welcomed his fans as well and he appreciates that.
The only medicine for him is to defeat Roman Reigns, and how Reigns is an 11 year guy with tens of millions invested in him and it took him until year 8 to make it work.
After Cody proclaimed himself to be the next champion, Roman Reigns came out.

Following a weak Cody chant, Reigns was about to ask for acknowledgment but said he doesn’t care about them. Sounds similar to when they protected Cody from Zayn’s pop a few weeks back.
So, Reigns demanded for Cody to acknowledge him and the held the title up right in front of him.
This was a curious way to close out the night as they let Cody drone on and Reigns kept it nice and short.
