Recently, newer WWE fans have been getting a taste of what made Trish Stratus one of the biggest female wrestlers in the history of the company.
Following a solid in-ring return at WrestleMania 39, Trish would turn heel at the expense of Becky Lynch & Lita. She would follow this up with a promo detailing why she deserves all the praise for making a women’s evolution possible in WWE. Stratus has been on fire since her return – and this would continue as she questioned choices made by the company in banning certain words.
Trish Stratus Wonders Why You Can’t Say Wrestling In WWE
While appearing on WWE After The Bell with Corey Graves – Stratus would be asked who should be added to the WWE Hall of Fame. Stratus would have the following to say, while questioning why WWE doesn’t like their talent using the word ‘wrestling’.
“I love Tori Wilson and Stacy Keibler, but this is a wrestling….I don’t know why we don’t say wrestling for some reason. I don’t know why, because I’m a wrestler and we work for World Wrestling Entertainment. But yeah, I mean, I’d like to see, maybe a wrestler maybe get into the Hall of Fame next, maybe like Victoria would be great.”
Stratus would offer to induct Victoria into the Hall of Fame – which is something many fans would agree is long overdue.
High Odds Of Ending Up In A Title Match
During the same interview, Graves would ask if Stratus had any interest in going for the RAW or Smackdown Women’s Championships, held by Bianca Belair & Rhea Ripley respectively. Stratus gave the following response.
“Pretty high. I guess the odds could be high. Do I look good in gold? Yes I do. Do I represent well? Yes, I do. Can I do your press conference? Yes, I can.”
If her upcoming singles match with Becky Lynch ends up being a success, WWE would be fools to not put Stratus in a title match – and help elevate either Ripley or Belair in the process.
