During the May 7 episode of Maurice Benard’s State of Mind, he shared about his initial reservations when he found out that his on-screen son, Chad Duell, was going to be a daddy.
He said, “We all had our feelings about it.” As for the daddy-to-be, Duell understood people’s shock. He said he and his baby mama were also surprised.
He went on to say that they had been praying for the same thing without realizing it, despite not being in a committed relationship at the time.
The actor was not feeling very good about the fast pace of life and the monotony of routine; making money through acting did not give him a sense of fulfillment. Now that he is expecting a baby, his outlook has completely changed. He has found his true calling.
Chad Duell continued to share that he would die happy knowing that he had contributed something good to the world, and that’s his child.
Seeing the sonogram was a surreal experience for him and he still struggles to comprehend. He believes the pregnancy surprise will continue to be a blessing for him and his baby mama.
He knows that the road ahead with their child is going to be an exciting and challenging journey.
