There are few women bigger in the WWE women’s division than Becky Lynch. She was the first woman to win a WrestleMania main event, when she defeated Ronda Rousey & Charlotte Flair to win both the Smackdown & RAW Women’s Championships.
That alone would put someone in the Hall of Fame, but is just one accolade on the resume of Lynch – which also includes a Royal Rumble win in 2019. One missing piece is Money in the Bank, and Lynch views that as a goal.
Becky Lynch Wants To Finally Win Money In The Bank
While speaking with former WWE NXT UK star Mark Andrews, Becky Lynch would be asked about some remaining goals in WWE. Lynch had two in mind.
“I do want to win the Money in the Bank briefcase before it’s all said and done, and also wrestle Beth Phoenix. I’ve been trying to get her for years. She’s been dodging me. Every single Money in the Bank match I’ve been in, I’ve always been the second last person. We’re talking four Money in the Bank madder match, I’ve been the second last person.”
Right now, Lynch is feuding with a different WWE Hall of Famer in the form of Trish Stratus. They are expected to meet at Night of Champions later this month – freeing up Lynch for Money in the Bank. A match with Beth Phoenix remains possible at any time, with Phoenix wrestling a few matches a year for WWE in recent years.
With Money in the Bank set for London, England this year – a Europe based name like Lynch will find a strong crowd of supporters, making this potentially the perfect year to give Lynch this accolade.
Another thing Lynch lacks if Queen of the Ring, which was introduced in 2022 with Zelina Vega winning the inaugural tournament. It’s easy to imagine a Queen Lynch character working in WWE, with Lynch able to boast with the best of them.
