May 14th is Mothers Day around the world, a day to celebrate the moms amongst us. In the world of professional wrestling, it’s not uncommon for female wrestlers to take time off to become a mother.
One very public moment of this was when Becky Lynch handed the RAW Women’s Championship off to Asuka in 2020, announcing that she was pregnant. Since then, the daughter of Lynch and fellow WWE superstar Seth Rollins has been kept out of the public eye – with today being an exception.
Becky Lynch Shares Touching Photo Holding Her Baby For Mothers Day
Earlier today, in celebration of Mothers Day, Lynch would share a picture of herself holding baby Roux – which is not something Lynch shares every day. The photo was from Lynch & Rollin’s wedding, and contained the following caption.
“Best thing I’ve ever done was become this tiny legends mammy.
Happy Mother’s Day all you human raising beasts.”
When you’re a major name like Lynch, it’s always best to play on the side of caution when it comes to your children. Growing up in the eyes of the public is not easy on a child, and while Roux is still growing – it’s best to keep public appearances sparse until she’s able to make her own choices. This is a choice made by Rollins & Lynch, and one that is generally respected – leading to photoshops of the face of Sami Zayn over the baby in pictures shared to social media.
Lynch & Rollins Are In Major WWE Feuds Currently
Right now in WWE, Becky Lynch is in a feud with a legend of the industry in Trish Stratus. After teaming up at WrestleMania 39 alongside Lita, Stratus would show her true colors and would cost Lita & Lynch the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships. Since then, Stratus has settled into a heel persona – getting the fans firmly behind Lynch.
Meanwhile, Roux’s dad Seth Rollins is in the finals of the tournament to name the first ever WWE World Heavyweight Champion. He won a Triple Threat match containing Shinsuke Nakamura & Damien Priest to make the semi-finals, where he defeated Finn Balor. AJ Styles makes up the other half of the finals match, set to take place in Saudi Arabia later this month for Night of Champions.
