The epic feud between Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa is finally over. Only one man walked out of that warehouse, that being Gargano, albeit with the help of Candice LeRae. With his greatest friend and rival now behind him, and him having officially lost their feud, the future of Ciampa is unclear within WWE. He isn’t the face of the brand, he wasn’t able to reclaim his NXT Championship, and he couldn’t even end this feud as he wanted. What will be the next move of The Psycho Killer?
Time For Tommaso Ciampa To Find Himself
Much like Johnny Gargano had to do following the initial breakup of D.I.Y, it is time for Ciampa to discover who he is again as a singles star. Even his time at the top of NXT as Champion was heavily linked to Gargano at every turn, everything Ciampa has done since that moment has involved his old friend in some way, shape, or form. There hasn’t been a time in NXT where this hasn’t been true, until now. Triple H made it very clear that this was their last battle, and should they disobey that, both will be looking for a job. Due to this, he has to put Gargano in the rear-view mirror and find himself again.
Taking A Shot At The NXT North American Champion
As he recently lost to NXT Champion Adam Cole, it might not be time for Ciampa to challenge for that title yet. Instead he could look to become the third ever NXT Triple Crown Champion by trying to get the NXT North American Championship, the only title on the brand he has not claimed yet. This is held by Keith Lee, meaning that if this is a route they take for Ciampa, we could see some classic matches that will prove that Ciampa exists beyond his years long feud.
RAW & Smackdown Debuts Are Unlikely To Happen
While he made a few apperences on both of the flagship shows of WWE, Ciampa has stated that he will never want to go on those brands full time. He is NXT for life, due to the easier schedule allowing his body to last longer and him to spend more time with his wife and child. While money speaks loudly, he has already fought the main roster call up once, and we could see him do that again. What do you think the next move for Ciampa will be?
