There have been few tag teams to find as much instant success leaving NXT as Pretty Deadly. The duo of Elton Prince & Kit Wilson have been teaming together since 2015, and after signing with WWE in 2019 – would quickly find their place as a top tag team.
They won the NXT UK Tag Team Championships, the NXT Tag Team Championships, and recently challenged Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn for the WWE Tag Team Championships. However, any championship plans are now on hold – as Elton Prince has suffered an injury.
Elton Prince Of Pretty Deadly Suffers Separated Shoulder After Match With Brawling Brutes
During the 07/14 episode of Smackdown Live, we would see Pretty Deadly in tag team action. They were successful in defeating Sheamus & Ridge Holland of the Brawling Brutes, but later in the show – Prince was seen wearing a sling on his arm. It was later reported that he suffered a separated shoulder during the match after a suplex from Holland.
Right now, it’s unclear how severe the injury is – and when we can expect Prince back into the ring. It’s generally something that won’t require surgery to repair, but can take up to 12 weeks to recover. This will put Pretty Deadly off TV – unless they remain on screen with the WWE United States Champion Austin Theory.
Kit Wilson remains healthy, and their partnership with Theory gives him a chance to remain on TV and keep Pretty Deadly at the forefront of everyones minds. WWE does tend to shelve both halves of a tag team in the event of an injury however, so we will need to wait and see how this situation is handled.
We here at TheOvertimer which Prince a speedy recovery, and hope to see him back on TV very soon.
