‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers here and we’re set to keep things warmed up with some fresh spoilery goodies to pass around.
This is going to be a fun character building episode as we’re going to get a couple of potential decisions that could make or break some characters.
Nothing like plenty of fun and a tenuous outcome to get us excited. Let’s dive in!
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Tuesday, August 1: Deal of a lifetime
This is going to be a fun scene as Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will pay Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) a visit to offer him a deal.
The deal will be for him to find something she can use to destroy Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John). She’ll want leverage to get him to back off and let the EMT lie for her. Er, we mean testify.
There are so many ways this could go wrong with the main one being no one trusts Phyllis anymore. She’s managed to dig a hole so deep the only way out of it is either serve the time for her crimes or lazy writing.
The show could be heading for the latter as Adam will figure out why she wants his help and after her usual pleading he may give in. Maybe not in this episode or the next, but there’s a good chance he will.
He’ll want to help a fellow outcast, but he’s also under his family’s microscope and him making this deal could not only hurt him, but Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) as well.
If there’s one way to burn bridges and join Phyllis in the outcast section of town, this is it.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Tuesday, August 1: Time for tough love
The theme of self destruction will continue as Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) will be heading down the path Phyllis trailblazed, but she’ll be taking a slight detour.
Unlike Phyllis, Ashley has Tucker with her and he’s tried to dissuade her from targeting Jabot and crippling the company to get Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) to see reason.
It’s something Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) has been picking up on Ashley’s fragmenting mental stability as well as Tucker not being the one pushing her to destroy Jabot like everyone thinks and fears.
So, after commenting how Ashley’s doing exactly what she claims Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) is planning, things will become heated and Abby will have enough.
She’ll see Ashley’s marriage as a revenge plot against Jack and Diane and she’ll refuse to be apart of It and demand Ashley leave her house and have her wedding elsewhere.
“The Young and the Restless” Spoilers suspect Abby will hope this shocks her mom into getting out of her revenge infatuation, but we doubt it.
