When Roman Reigns first became WWE Universal Champion, one of his first challengers was his cousin Jey Uso. Reigns would beat Jey into submission, and alongside Jimmy Uso & later Solo Sikoa – would form the most dominant faction in WWE history.

However, Jey is once again wondering why Reigns is the Tribal Chief – especially after pinning him at Money in the Bank. Tonight, they will meet once again, as we get the first ever Tribal Combat match in WWE history.

What hangs in the balance is not just a 1070 day long reign – but also potentially the future of the A’noia family in professional wrestling.

‘Main Event’ Jey Uso vs. ‘The Tribal Chief’ Roman Reigns

Only Paul Heyman was at ringside, with Jey Uso not having Jimmy Uso on hand, and Solo Sikoa staying in the back as well. Reigns would be calm as always as this match began, while Jey showed clear anxiety – only one of these men is completely used to being placed in the main event singles match with a massive crowd. Taking a microphone, asking every fan in the arena to acknowledge him.

In Reigns’ hand was the red Ula Fala that he wears, that denotes him as Tribal Chief – saying that if Jey wins, Reigns himself will hand this over.

The bell would ring, and Tribal Combat would begin – which is a No DQ environment. Jey would be driven into the corner and shoved by Reigns, but would not be intimidated. Reigns would drive Jey down to the mat with a knee to the jaw, and stomped right on his head.

Jey would be lifted into a back suplex, before landing on his feet and throwing some big punches. A superkick and throat thrust would stun Reigns, who went to the ropes and was driven to the floor with a lariat.

Jey would hit a suicide dive, hitting Reigns right in the back before driving him right into the steel steps. A table was pulled out from under the ring by Jey, and Heyman would beg for him not to do this to his own family.

This distraction would allow for Reigns to regain control, hitting Jey from behind before driving him into the steps. Back in the ring, Reigns would continue his attack on Jey – who would jump off the middle rope but missing Reigns, and being whipped head first into the turnbuckle. Reigns would hear the chants of Uso, but remained calm.

    Tribal Combat Becomes Hardcore

Reigns would lift Jey off the mat, but would take some stiff strikes including an enziguri. Rolling to the floor, Reigns would arm himself with a kendo stick, and would raise him using the stick under his jaw – only to take a strike to the face.

Jey would be driven into the corner, and battered with a flurry of lariats . Reigns would prepare for the Superman Punch, but took a kendo stick to the midsection.

Jey would break the stick over Reigns, before using it to drive him to the floor and dove over the top rope with a flipping senton.

Taking a second to breathe, Jey would roll Reigns into the ring for a crossbody – only to be cut from the sky with a Superman Punch. Spear would be set, but Jey jumped into a roll up for a two count.

Reigns would take a superkick and the Uso Splash – but unlike in London, was able to kick out. Jey would grab a steel chair and use it over the back of Reigns, before throwing a whole stack of chairs into the ring.

Reigns would be set up into the Superplex, with Jey fighting to get the move – only to be powerbombed onto the chairs.

Reigns would push a table into the ring, setting it up in the corner – only for Jey to be placed on the apron by the table at ringside.

Jey would hold on after a series of punches from Reigns – before seeing the opening for a Samoan Drop off the apron and through the table. Jey would grab a long leather strap next, and began to whip his cousin.

Jimmy Uso Decides His Place In The Bloodline

Reigns would hide in the crowd, making it impossible for Jey to swing the strap again. Jey would follow Reigns, only for Solo Sikoa to emerge and help Reigns out.

The Enforcer Of The Bloodline would dish out some heavy shots to the head of Jey, before driving him through a table with a Uranage. Sikoa would help drag Jey back to ringside, with Reigns following.

Another Uranage in the ring would punish Jey, this now a handicap match. The Samoan Spike/Spear combo was set, but Jey moved so Reigns nailed Sikoa with the spear – before hitting a spear of his own for the two count. Using a steel chair, Jey would beat down reigns until he rolled out of the ring.

Sikoa would blame Reigns for the spear, and just watched as Reigns was speared through the barricade. The announce table was stripped by Sikoa with plans to put Jey through it. A superkick would set up Sikoa on the table, and a splash from Jey put him through. Reigns would be rolled into the ring and hit with a spear, and the Uso Splash was next.

A man dressed in a black hoodie would pull Jey off the pinfall, with this revealed as Jimmy Uso – who was seemingly aligned with Jey before now. Jimmy hit a superkick to confirm his betrayal, and fed Jey into the ring for a spear – with Reigns remaining the champion.
