Samoa Joe is a man with a lot of ambition, and with matches now being announced for All In – he intends to be on the card. After all, it’s set to be one of the biggest shows in professional wrestling history.
Tonight, he’s in action against Serpentico – but while that is a good chance for him to show his dominance, Joe has deeper plans in mind tonight.
Samoa Joe Knows His Feud With CM Punk Deserves Better Than A Roll Up
Joe would march to the ring with all the confidence in the world, and the ROH World Television Championship in hand. Serpentico would be immediately taken into the Rear Naked Choke, tapped out – and it was the fastest match in Collision history. The official time was a mere 14 seconds.
Joe would take the microphone after his ‘match’ and ensured that everyone knew he was the King of Television. However, The King has problems. All In is coming, as the king has no one to dance with. He’d turn his attention to CM Punk – who finally beat Joe earlier this year.
He’s not mad that he lost, he’s made how he lost. A roll up is not how they end their feud, it’s not what their legacy deserves. Their legacy deserves both men giving all they have in the ring, and the challenge is set for All In – and Punk has one week to answer, before Joe choked an answer out of him.
The Acclaimed Give Update On Billy Gunn
The Acclaimed have a lot on their mind after their most recent loss to House of Black. Billy Gunn took the fall once again, and would leave his boots in the ring – ignoring The Acclaimed as he walked to the back. Gunn has been silent since then, and tonight – we get an update from Max Caster & Anthony Bowens.
Sitting down with Tony Schiavone, Caster & Bowens had the boots of Gunn with them. They have spoken to him since then, and tried to return his boots – but he refused.
He’s firm in his plans to retire, saying it was his fault that they lost the AEW World Tag Team Championships before losing to Malakai Black twice.
They will respect his choice, but feel there is unfinished business as a trio. Gunn feels that they let him down, owing their success to him.
They’re going to carry his boots until he comes back in some capacity, knowing that he is essential to The Acclaimed. The Acclaimed will be in action next week, and Gunn will hopefully be watching.
The House Always Wins
House of Black issued an open challenge for the AEW World Trios Championship tonight, and intend for it to be once again held under House Rules.
Action Andretti, Darius Martin and returning Lee Johnson would accept the offer for a match – marking their debut as a trio in AEW. All three have youth and a high flying style in common, and if they all play their cards right – could walk away as champions.
The dealers choice stipulation was banning Julia Hart from ringside, and she would head to the back. Martin would start with Brody King, being unable to do much with strikes against the powerhouse of the House of Black. A headlock would see Martin slip through the ropes to send King throat first into the middle rope, but a crossbody just say Martin bounce off King.
Andretti got a tag alongside Black, who worked hard to maintain control – including guiding a dropkick from Andretti into the chest of Martin.
A knee to the jaw was followed by a leg sweep, and a tag to Matthews – who hit a diving stomp to the arm of Andretti. King would maul Andretti & Martin on the floor, before being rolled into the ring for a pinfall from Matthews.
Andretti would get a sleeper hold applied before being thrown off. Johnson got a tag and dove onto Black with a crossbody, before a DDT to both Black & Matthews. A double cutter would follow, but as fast he gained the advantage – Johnson was hit with The Three Headed Beast – a cannonball senton and two dropkicks.
Andretti broke up a pinfall with a 450 Splash, and took out Black & Matthews with a moonsault. Martin dove onto King for a one count, before a Rolling Lariat from King ended this match.
Next week, House of Black is faced by CMFTR – the biggest match in their reign. Can CMFTR defeat House of Black? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
