It’s good to have goals in life, and after appearing on The Stephen A Smith Show, Logan Paul admitted his new goal is to mimic what Dominik Mysterio has done as a heel.
Since turning on Rey Mysterio, Dom has taken being a heel to a new height as he can’t even get a word in for a promo without being booed into silence by the fans.
Granted, he got the heat because of what he did to Rey and how he continues to trash Rey, but he’s also grown as a performer and uses everything as a mean of pushing the fans.
What makes it even more fun is how he can’t win a match on his own. Much like with Roman Reigns, fans are tired of seeing the cheating paying off regularly, but at least he Judgement Day keeps it believable.
All of that has inspired Paul into wanting to achieve and surpass the type of heat Dom gets from the fans.
Give him the heat
“Well, there’s a person who’s actually active right now. who I admire his heel tendencies and he goes by the name of Dominik Mysterio. He’s Rey Mysterio’s son and he got a feud with his dad and it worked. The audience ate it up like they hate this guy now. I think it actually might be real hatred. Dom puts the mic up to his mouth and he can’t get a word out because everyone in every single arena around the country, around the world is booing him. He cannot speak, he cannot cut promos. That’s where I want to be. I want to be so hated that I can’t talk when I enter the venue.”
This is a fun change from when he first came to the WWE and was booed. Paul admitted that he hated being booed, but as he continued to learn and grow he’s grown to love being the heel.
It makes sense since he’s so good at it. He’s a natural. He gets those expressions where we want a wrestler to throw a punch at him.
That kind of talent is rare and considering he’s got a lot of room to grow yet it’s scary to think about what he can accomplish as a heel.
What’s going to be fun going forward is that he may get his wish and all he had to do was this interview. If he does a few more like it and prompts the fans to boo him they’ll happily oblige and he could give Dom a run for his money.
