    WWE Smackdown Results (8/11) – Bobby Lashley and the street Profits Look to the Future; United States Championship – Rey Mysterio Defeated Austin Theory (c) by Pinfall; Jey Uso Takes Out Jimmy Uso and Roman Reigns, then Announces he’s Leaving the WWE

    WWE Smackdown Results returned as Santos Escobar told Adam Pearce he can go after he was medically cleared.

    Elsewhere, Bobby Lashley and the Street Profits were celebrating their alliance and a future of unlimited possibilities. He told them one of the worst things in life is untapped potential.

    When he looks at them he sees incredible talent and they have achieved some great moments, and Dawkins and Ford agreed but there’s unfinished business.

    Lashley added it looks like Smackdown needs some new blood to run the place and they clinked glasses.

    United States Championship – Austin Theory (c) vs. Rey Mysterio

    As Escobar headed to the ring, Theory hit him with a chop block, and then went to the ring to apologize for not having a match and that he wanted to defend his title but Escobar is too weak.

    Adam Pearce decided that Rey would face Theory instead, and Rey headed to the ring and took it to Theory and Rey sent him to the floor and hit a hurricanrana before the bell rang.

    After the commercial break, the match was underway and Rey sent him into the turnbuckle with a head scissors, and then hit a sitton and a crossbody off the ropes for a near pinfall.

    Rey slipped out of a A-Town down and hit a 619 to Theory’s back, and they hit another standard one and a splash for the win. This was a fun match and it’s good to see Rey get a top tittle.

    After the match, Escobar and the LWO celebrated with Rey.

    Jimmy comes clean

    Roman Reigns came out to the ring with Solo Sikoa and Paul Heyman flanking him. Once in the ring, Reigns demanded Calgary acknowledge him and the return was lukewarm.

    Reigns asked Heyman where Jimmy is and Heyman said he talked to him in the morning but he was salty with him and Jimmy appeared at ringside dressed in black.

    As Jimmy climbed into the ring the fans chanted “You sold out” and Reigns told him not to worry about them, they mean nothing.

    Reigns said he owes Jimmy one and to name his price and it’s done. New car, boat, jet, done. Jimmy told him he wants nothing from him and what he did had nothing to do with Reigns.

    Reigns offered to make him his right hand man, Main Event Jimmy Uso, and Jey came out in response.

    Jey’s out of the WWE

    Jey took the mic from Jimmy and Reigns and company headed to the far corner. He demanded to know why Jimmy did it.

    Jimmy told him he did it because he loves Jey, and that brought boos from the fans and Reigns laughed. He didn’t do it because of jealousy, he was afraid he’d lose Jey and the Usos would be done a since he’d be the new tribal chief and he’d become like Reigns.

    He talked about how the power corrupted Reigns and he was afraid it’d corrupt Jey the same way.

    He wanted to Jey to his face that it wasn’t to take away his shine or anything like that, and said if Jey wants to kick his face off then he should do it.

    Jey shook his head while Jimmy waited with his eyes closed and then turned his back on Jimmy, and when Jimmy tried to stand at his side, Jey turned away again.

    Jimmy left the ring as a cast out, and Reigns mocked Jey for being stupid and messing things up.

    Jey superkicked Reigns when he demanded Jey acknowledge him and Solo attacked Jey. Jey ducked a Samoan Spike and nailed Solo with a superkick, but ate a Superman Punch from Reigns.

    Reigns then went for a spear, but Jey countered it with a superkick and hit his own spear. He then grabbed the mic and told Jimmy to wait and come back when he was nearly at the top of the ramp.

    Jimmy went to embrace him and Jey dropped him with a superkick.

    Jey then announced he’s out of the Bloodline, Smackdown, and the WWE. He then left the arena through the fans to close out the show.
