MJF & Adam Cole are looking to make history tonight at All In. They intend to open and close All In, starting with a battle for the Ring of Honor Tag Team Championships.
Currently held by Aussie Open, these are belts that mean a lot to Adam Cole – though he’s never held them. Then later in the night, they fight over the AEW World Heavyweight Championship, held by MJF.
MJF & Adam Cole Nail The Double Clothesline
During the entrance of Cole & MJF, Aussie Open would attack – wanting to begin on the right foot. Cole & MJF were bashed into each other with running spinebusters on the floor, before Mark Davis hit the jumping senton in the ring. MJF would tease doing what he calls ‘The Kangaroo Kick’ but was dropped before he could mock the Austrailians.
Fletcher would lose control of MJF, and a tag to Cole was completed. The Pump Kick would land before Cole tried for The Boom – with Fletcher able to duck before taking the Backstabber.
Fletcher would run into a superkick, and MJF called for the Double Clothesline. Davis would save Fletcher by pulling him to the floor, and stop the potential dive from MJF & Cole.
Aussie Open would hit the Aussie Arrow on MJF in the ring, getting a two count. MJF would duck a Sandwich Lariat attempt, and hit the Kangaroo Kick – and get the fans on their feet.
The Double Clotheslines would land on Fletcher – and we have new ROH World Tag team Champions. Cole however, was looking at the AEW World Heavyweight Championship – which he could leave the UK with later tonight.
Mercedes Mone Is Watching All In Closely
Following this match, there was a commotion in the arena that took the attention away from the panel who was previewing the show.
This was because a major star was shown in the arena, former WWE star and seven time women’s world champion Mercedes Mone. Mone is unfortunately not going to be in action, having suffered an injury when battling for the NJPW Strong Women’s Championship.
However, with a Fatal Four Way match for the AEW Women’s World Championship – we know that Mone will be watching closely.
She might not be in the ring tonight, but the AEW debut of Mone is something that could be coming sooner than fans could have imagined.
HOOK & Jack Perry Bring FTW Rules To All In
When Jack Perry would defeat HOOK to win the FTW Championship – he did not have clear intentions. Perry was simply upset after falling short in two World Championship matches, and having HOOK wave the belt around in his face was a lot. HOOK would stop Perry from destroying the belt on AEW Collision, and has a chance to regain the belt tonight in an FTW Rules Match.
Perry & HOOK would begin the brawl before even getting into the ring. Perry would get driven to the ramp, and HOOK was using the car as a weapon – whipping him into the door and climbing to the top of the car. HOOK would be the one to end up being dropped, as Perry hit a brainbuster on top of the car.
Channeling his inner RVD, Perry would hit the Rolling Thunder for a two count. Perry would point out that the windshield was real glass, before HOOK hit a Fisherman Suplex into the glass.
A brawl down to the ring would follow, with HOOK taking a draping DDT. HOOK was taken into the ring and stomped into the corner, with Perry hitting a German Suplex for a two count.
Perry tried to hit a low blow on HOOK, who was able to sidestep and catch Perry into a Capture Suplex – tossing him into the corner.
Using a trash can, Perry tried to set up HOOK for a moonsault – but missed and was smashed with the trash can. HOOK would lock in Redrum – and Perry had no choice but to tap out.
