When Kenny Omega came to the aid of Chris Jericho on AEW Rampage – fans couldn’t believe their eyes. They have one of the most storied histories in AEW, with their match in NJPW being the one that kick started the company – the foundation of AEW is built on their animosity.

However, with a mutual enemy in Don Callis – they will unite for WrestleDream. That will see Kota Ibushi join them, but tonight it’s just Jericho & Omega – as they face Gates of Agony.

Can Kenny Omega & Chris Jericho Work As A Tag Team?

Omega & Jericho would discuss who gets to begin this match – with Jericho starting with Toa Liona. This also marks the in-ring debut of Jericho & Omega both on Collision.

Liona would absorb some chops from Jericho, before bashing him with a headbutt. Kaun would hit a big lariat, getting a one count on Jericho – before Omega would get the tag.

Using his explosive speed, Omega would fly off the top rope with a crossbody, before trying a suplex on Liona. He would fail, but Jericho would assist in a Double Suplex.

The teamwork is not expected – but Jericho & Omega would share a fist bump. A double shoulder tackle Jericho & Omega would take Liona back down – before Prince Nana would grab the foot of Omega from ringside.

The manager of Gates of Agony was able to completely disrupt the match – luring Jericho into the path of Omega, as Liona would send Omega into his partner.

Kaun would hit a series of suplexes, before Liona would hit the Uranage to keep the pressure on. Omega was pulled to ringside, where a two on one attack would see him thrown into the announce table.

Kaun would finally be dropped with a hurricanrana – and Omega broke across the ring to tag in Jericho. Double Axe Handle took Kaun down before the Lionsault.

Walls of Jericho would be avoided – and Judas Effect was blocked with the Spinning Lariat from Liona. Kaun hit the Double Knee Gutbuster – but Omega broke the pinfall up.

Triangle Dropkick would take Liona down, before Jericho hit Kaun with the Codebreaker. Omega would hit the V-Trigger on Kaun, before taking Liona out with a dive. Walls Of Jericho was applied – and Kaun tapped out. Omega & Jericho win their tag team debut!

The Don Callis Family Is Put On Notice Ahead Of WrestleDream

Jericho would grab a microphone – and said that they proved they can co-exist. Co-existing isn’t part of some scheme to become a top tag team, it’s much deeper.

This is an alliance to destroy Don Callis but two men who have been brainwashed and manipulated. Omega is ready for war after Takeshita & Callis would go to Japan to assault Ibushi.

However, the thing about Kota Ibushi is that type of attack is an invitation. He will give that beating back to Takeshita double, as The Golden Lovers and The Demo God break down The Don Callis family. It won’t be easy. Konosuke Takeshita is one of the best wrestlers in the world.

Will Ospreay beat both Jerichon & Omega in the span of a month. Sammy Guevara learned from Jericho, and has become the ultimate Judas.

However – they’re up to the challenge, and when it comes to Guevara – Jericho is ready to be the villain in his story. He’s had to carry Jericho for four years, and will take the frustration out tomorrow night at WrestleDream.

The Righteous Show Dominance Ahead Of ROH World Tag Team Championship Challenge

The Righteous is one day away from having a two on one advantage in a match for the ROH World Tag Team Championships. Adam Cole is on the shelf with a broken foot, leaving MJF to fight alone in a handicap match.

However, MJF is also the AEW World Heavyweight Champion, making him one of the greatest wrestlers in the world – so tonight, Vincent & Dutch will tune up with a match on Collision – as they prepare for MJF.

Facing down Travis Williams & Judas Icarus. Judas would start with Vincent, and a quick tag to Travis would enable some early control. Vincent would hit the running back elbow, before whipping Judas into the corner.

Dutch would get the tag and have Judas crumble with a single chop. Vincent would hit a knee strike, Dutch a ripcord lariat, and Vincent a low angle flatliner. The cutter from Vincent would follow – and this was a dominant win for The Righteous.

Vincent would take the microphone, and would alude of MJF calling himself The Devil, and would promise to take the ROH World Tag Team Championships. However, they also intend to put MJF on the shelf.

A 2×4 was brought into the ring, and placed between the ankles of Judas. A steel chair shot to the ankle would show some brutality – and this move once put Matt Taven out for a year.

Will MJF leave WrestleDream with the tag titles? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
