hen it comes to a legend like Chris Jericho, his eventual retirement match is going to be a huge ordeal. Over his long career, he has had more iconic characters and matches than just about anyone else, and his legacy will be felt for years to come, as up and coming stars like Britt Baker & Sammy Guevara take influence from him. However, it is unlikely to be an up and coming star who is the one to retire Chris Jericho, but rather an old friend. This is Lance Storm, the man who Chris Jericho started his career alongside.
Chris Jericho Wants His Final Match Against Lance Storm
It would only be fitting that Jerichos career would end as it began. According to Lance Storm on Twitter, it is something they have both discussed numerous times in the past. It would be incredibly fitting that he would wrestle his first and last matches against the same man. Storm originally ended his career against Jericho at ECW One Night Stand 2005, before coming back to the ring to wrestle Bryan Danielson in Ring Of Honor. That match with Jericho was incredible, and there is no doubt Storm & Jericho would do something special to end both careers for good.
Will Lance Storm Join All Elite Wrestling?
Lance Storm has had a rough go of it lately. He recently shut down his wrestling school, the Storm Wrestling Academy to rejoin WWE as a backstage agent, only to be released from the company as WWE was clearing out their roster to save money during the COVID-19 outbreak. Someone like Storm would have a lot to offer to All Elite Wrestling, being a talented trainer and also having experience in helping put matches together. Should he not be reopening his own wrestling school, he would be a great addition to the AEW Nightmare Factory.
This isn’t even counting what Storm is capable of within the ring, as he still will lace up his boots on occasion to keep his skills sharp. Fans would welcome a legend like Storm into the roster, especially if we got a match like The Thrillseekers vs. Young Bucks along the way.
