WWE Money In The Bank 2020 is soon at hand folks. We’ve got what promises to be an extremely weird show coming up this evening. We have two Money In The Bank Ladder matches tonight, which will supposedly be happening simultaneously – just one part of why they’re set to be the most unique versions of the match ever. The Women’s MITB lineup features Shayna Baszler, Nia Jax, Asuka, Dana Brooke, Carmella and Lacey Evans. WWE Women’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match: Shayna Baszler vs. Nia Jax vs. Asuka vs. Dana Brooke vs. Carmella vs. Lacey Evans
This is honestly a really weird match to call. I do feel that on the SmackDown side we’re pretty much set. Sasha Banks and Bayley will eventually split and their feud over the title will pretty much take us through the rest of 2020 in all likelihood. Becky Lynch on the other hand is sorta desperate for new challengers, noticeably absent from tonight’s card altogether even though she’s been appearing pretty frequently on Raw. In theory that means someone from the Raw side will win, or perhaps one of the SmackDown women win and then make the jump to face Becky.
When you factor in the possibility that a MITB winner could theoretically do that, it’s possible that either Carmella or Lacey Evans win the case and then turn heel as they make that jump. Of course we’ve seen Becky/Lacey before but Evans is miles ahead of where she was back then as a worker. And I can’t recall Becky and Carmella ever doing much together, haven’t had a one-on-one bout since 2018. It’d be about as fresh a match as Becky could have. However, the most likely candidate in general to me feels like Nia Jax. Nia and Becky have a pretty deep-seeded history, Jax was, in a twisted sort of way, an important part of Becky’s rise. And yet they never have had a major singles match. It’s mostly untapped. Plus, having someone so menacing and imposing holding the briefcase could make for some nice headgames for however long they want to let her do it. Without any better choices I’ll say Nia Jax over.
