Another episode of AEW Dynamite is on tap here this evening and boy is there a lot to talk about for this one. We’ll be seeing the Jurassic Express make their long-awaited return to Dynamite tonight as they take on the Best Friends, Chuck Taylor & Trent Baretta! You can expect the same coverage of this show as always, which means in-depth results and recaps, plus a preview of everything that’s on tap tonight. Like I said, lot to discuss so let’s get into it!
The Best Friends (Chuck Taylor & Trent Baretta) vs. Jurassic Express (Jungleboy & Luchasaurus)
I’m an optimistic sort, and I do appreciate looking for silver linings. But it’s very hard to even want to look on the bright side of the current situation we’re all living in, it seems inappropriate to in some ways. That being said, there is an interesting vibe right now brought on by the fact that we’re suddenly seeing a lot of people in AEW that have been gone for the past month and a half. Returns are always fun in wrestling and suddenly we’re being hit by a wave of one. There are still plenty missing for now, mostly the international talent. But Nyla Rose and MJF returned last week, and now we have Jungleboy and Luchasaurus back in our midst. It certainly feels pretty good to see them again.
The Best Friends have been featured a lot on Dynamite as of late, being one of relatively few full teams to have even been available over the past couple of months, making them focal points of the division basically by default. But now they have the Jurassic Express to contend with once again. This is after it was announced that Jungleboy would be facing off with MJF in a pretty major match at Double Or Nothing, his biggest singles encounter since the bout with Chris Jericho at the end of 2019.
All the same they’re not looking to be forgotten in the tag team ranks either and this is the first time we’ve seen a hint of Luchasaurus on Dynamite in quite a while. I expect him to have quite a bit of fun kicking around Trent and Chuck, but ultimately the focus is going to be on making Jungleboy look good, which is never difficult. Jurassic Express to win this one.
