AEW Dynamite continues! We get a video of Joey Janela saying he came to AEW to be a star. But he went from main eventing against Jon Moxley to just kinda fading int othe darkness. Sometimes he feels like his best moments in wrestling are behind him. Somewhere along the last six months or so, he lost his direction. But Sonny Kiss pulls up in a car to help pick him up. They call this a crazy coincidence. We get a “To Be Continued” as they ride off in the night. Dasha Gonzalez is wanting to talk to Colt Cabana backstage and she asks if the losses to Jericho and Cabana brought him here… he knocks on the door of Mr. Brodie Lee. Now Alex Marvez trying to get a word from Jon Moxley in the parking lot as he prepares for his bout with Brian Cage.
Mox says he’s in a real bad mood, not just because of how much his back hurts and his neck hurts and it hurts to sit on the toilet but he has no patience or time for people who run their mouth when they have no idea what they’re talking. Says Taz has been telling everyone who will listen that Brian Cage will beat him at Fyter Fest. Well if he’s been trying to get under his skin it worked. He can’t wait for Fyter Fest so he can pop Brian Cage’s head like a giant pimple. Says what separates him from everyone else in AEW is that he is a miserable son of a bitch, and the fact that they think they can beat him pisses him off. It’s what drives him, makes him train harder and hit harder, it makes him less apologetic. Says Taz is one of the best trash talkers in the game but… Taz comes up to him and says he’s heard enough of this.
Yells in his face that he’s gonna get his at Fyter Fest – but this just sets Mox up for an attack from behind, Cage jumps him! He batters him around the parking lot, but Mox counters and sends him into a car! He swings a lead pipe at him and barely misses, shattering the glass! Cage fights back and hoists him up, drives him into a fence! He pulls him out towards the concrete and sets him up for a powerbomb! But Taz wants him to stop, likely not wanting an injury to change their match. Cage does cancel the bomb but, despite Taz’s warning, he hurls him right into the rear windshield of the car! Brutal!
