It’s Wednesday Night once again, and AEW has a stacked card like usual, albeit not the one they planned at all. As we move closer and closer towards the two night event of Fyter Fest, what does AEW have in store for everyone this week?
Tag Team Action From FTR, SCU, Dark Order and more
The AEW tag team divison is one of their crown jewels, and we will see two great tag team encounters. FTR were originally set to face Dustin Rhodes & QT Marshall tonight, but a last minute change due to QT being in contact with someone effect by COVID-19, the match was changed. Instead they will face SCU members Christopher Daniels & Frankie Kazarian. We will also see Mr. Brodie Lee and his recent recruit of Colt Cabana face the new tandem of Sonny Kiss & Joey Janela. It will be a very good night for tag team wrestling.
Matt Hardy Will Face Santana Of Inner Circle
While Hardy was originally going to be facing Sammy Guevara, an untimely suspension forced this match to be changed as well. Hardy would still look for a fight, and call out the rest of Inner Circle. The challenge would be accepted by Santana, someone fans have pegged as a future breakout star. Facing someone like Hardy is a great way to prove yourself when you’re a tag team specialist like Sanata, so this could be the start of something huge for him.
Brian Cage & Hikaru Shida Will Be In Action
Another last minute change in that instead of Jon Moxley, who similar to QT Marshall, was potentially exposed to COVID-19, we will see Brian Cage in action ahead of his AEW Championship match in two weeks. It’s unclear who their opponent is, but we will not be seeing Cage stopped tonight. AEW Womens Champion Hikaru Shida will be in action like planned, but her opponent has not been mentioned. From Penelope Ford to Abbadon, she has some great potential matches.
Wardlow vs. Luchasaurus
While watching the fast paced cruiserweight heavy style of AEW never gets old, it’s time for something different. Two of the biggest men on the roster, Wardlow & Luchasaurus are going to lock horns in a lumberjack match, something that is sure to be a highlight reel. There’s something cathartic about two huge men going at it in wrestling, and that’ll be felt tonight.
