Even in WWE, there are some factions. Even though a lot of them don’t actually get names. AEW has a lot of factions and seems to be making new ones every couple of months. Impact though, don’t seem to have any current faction that has a huge dominance in the company.
They have done in the past with factions like Decay and LAX. But now they don’t really have any. They did have most recently, OVE but they have recently gone their separate ways as well. Making it a great time for another faction to form.
The one thing Impact Wrestling is currently missing.
Impact Wrestling, at the moment, seems to be on a massive rise in the quality of their product. There is only one thing setting them back, a good faction. It’s a great story element in a wrestling company to bring some wrestlers together with the same goal; winning.
In AEW, they use it to their best effect by bringing them into the core story and it ends with massive matches. Impact could do this in the same way but make a second faction to go against the new, therefore making a whole story around a new faction.
An ex-WWE faction could work…
A way they could form this faction is through the new ex-WWE wrestlers. This could make all ex-WWE wrestlers relevant throughout their run in Impact. At the minute, there are six new ex-WWE wrestlers. It would make a lot sense if some of them came together.
It would also be a lot easier for Impact to make storylines for the wrestlers as well, as it can’t be easy to come up with six storylines for the wrestlers that are looking for some good pushes. After being let down from their last company.
