Dexter Lumis might have made it to NXT Takeover XXX with a huge victory over Timothy Thatcher & Finn Balor, but he didn’t make it out unscathed. This alongside Fandango being kidnapped by Legado Del Fantasma would be the smaller stories of this week’s episode of NXT.
Dexter Lumis Will Not Be Cleared By NXT Takeover XXX
In a match with someone like Timothy Thatcher, injury is always going to be an option. This is the fate of Dexter Lumis, who ended up with an ankle injury following his triple threat match last week. Because of this, his slot has been reopened for the NXT North American Championship ladder match.
William Regal already has a solution for this, and it will consist of two second chance singles match. Johnny Gargano, Ridge Holland & Finn Balor did not lose their respective matches, so they’re all going to get another chance at qualifying. In two weeks time, we will see these matches alongside the man who doesn’t get beat in next weeks triple threat.
Dexter Lumis should get the first shot at the winner from NXT Takeover XXX, but it’s unclear when he will be back.
Legado Del Fantasma Send A Message To Swerve
Earlier in the night, Breezango would be assaulted in the parking lot by Legado Del Fantasma. Fandango would get kidnapped, and drug to ringside. Santos Escobar would berate him and Tyler Breeze for making a joke of Lucha Libre culture when they came to the ring in fake masks.
Fandango would be saved from being beat down by Tyler Breeze, who wouldn’t last very long against Raul Mendoza & Joaquin Wilde. This wasn’t about Breezango though, it was about Isaiah ‘Swerve’ Scott, a man who is inching close to a title shot. Escobar would warn Swerve, and if his name enters the mouth of Swerve again? He won’t last long.
Swerve is the only man to have beaten Escobar in WWE, but this was before he had Mendoza and Wilde flanking him. The champion is more dangerous than ever, and Swerve might need some reliable backup of his own if he’s going to walk away with some gold.
