The match between both Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton was a decent match. Although the finish was another story. Altogether it was a good match.
There is still the argument of should Randy Orton be in the main event at this stage? With Randy being a 14 time champion, it feels like it’s time for him to be permanently out of the main event picture for the championship.
It does feel like his best work
At the moment, Randy Orton feels like he’s in the right place but he definitely shouldn’t get the belt. He should take the loss and put a new fresh face Keith Lee over.
Then he should maybe have a new feud with maybe Ricochet because he’s not doing anything these days. Then go on to fighting Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania for payback after being busted open all that time ago.
That is how Randy Orton should be booked. He should lose the big match, go back fighting lower tier wrestlers, put them over but still win. Then go to Brock Lesnar and either way that could be a great rematch.
Who else could take his place as the top heel?
It feels like Randy Orton is probably the best heel in WWE at the moment, maybe apart from Seth Rollins. This feels like it could be due to others not getting their chance. Looking through Raw, there are not many wrestlers that could currently take the role as top heel.
Aleister Black could be going for the role as the big heel in Raw. It’s still early days for Aleister Black with only turning heel last week. It looks like even WWE are realising that they don’t actually have many heels in their roster.
All of this could really show that the Heel and BabyFace characters are getting outdated, that characters don’t have to go one way or the other but in other companies it feels more like wrestlers have personalities doing what they want to do rather than just like a switch in WWE.
