WWE Smackdown Preview has been waiting for this feud for a long time, and no character deserves to lose their championship more than Bayley, but we don’t see it happening here.
This feud could end at Hell in a Cell, but we think it’s more likely to culminate at Survivor Series. The problem here is both makes sense, and that’s why many fans have an issue with the timing of this.
Bayley and Banks are good enough this could be a feud that’d last three to four months or longer and would’ve been perfect to end at HIAC or Survivor Series.
But the WWE waited so long to pull the trigger and now this will either be rushed to completion no later than Survivor Series or extend to the Royal Rumble.
Bayley retains
While be said this to open the article, we wanted to add that we don’t think she’ll retain cleanly, but she won’t lose through deliberate disqualification.
WWE Smackdown Preview has a theory that while Bayley using a chair or other item purposely is expected, we don’t think it’ll be because she’s afraid of losing the match.
At least, not directly.
We think it’ll be something more along the lines of she’ll try to end Banks’ career once again, and that’ll happen before the match starts so there won’t be a match.
The WWE won’t want the match to overshadow the draft, only to pull viewers in, in our opinion.
Besides, this is a pay-per-view caliber match, so they’re going to want to build it up more and have Banks travel the injured hero’s path like Seth Rollins did against Brock Lesnar.
Otis it this generation’s Dee Snider
Otis is a lovable wrestler in every sense of the word. He funny, had great charisma, and can be a major star.
However, he’s been built the total opposite of being a main eventer for whatever reason, and this feud with the Miz and Joh Morrison only proves that point.
The Miz, though charismatic as anyone, was one of the worst drawing champions in WWE history, and Morrison has been booked as his sidekick stooge.
Though we do think this whole storyline is to get the MITB to Morrison, or tease it anyway.
So after being served a couple of weeks back following his attack on Miz, Otis said he’d defend the MITB contract himself.
While it’s easy and understandable to expect Otis to be a lovable yet bumbling buffoon in court in this segment, we expect him to become well spoken and destroy the Miz’s case.
WWE Smackdown Preview envisions him being Dee Snider speaking in front of Congress in 1984 against allegations made by Tipper Gore.
He walked in wearing jeans and a jean vest and was considered a joke. Instead, he destroyed Tipper and their allegation in an extremely well spoken and eloquent speech.
We shared Dee Snider’s testimony above in case anyone was wondering what we’re talking about. Yes, we’re that old.
