WWE News: Tucker Moved Back To SmackDown To Continue Feud With Otis

It would appear that the WWE still has plans going forward for Otis, as it was revealed this week that Tucker was drafted back to SmackDown immediately after the Hell in a Cell PPV had ended.

The move would indicate that there is a long-term plan for the former tag team to compete against one another after Tucker cost Otis his Money in the Bank briefcase this past weekend at Hell in a Cell.

In one of the more unexpected moments, Tucker turned on Otis in the middle of his match against The Miz, and hit him over the head with the Money in the Bank briefcase. The move knocked Otis out, and allowed Miz to pick up the easy pin.

WWE News: Tucker vs Otis Lined Up

There was immediate confusion what the betrayal meant as fans immediately recalled that they would be on opposing brands going forward after Tucker was drafted to Raw.

However, any confusion was quickly settled after the PPV as it was silently decided that Tucker would be staying on SmackDown in the end, as the WWE quietly moved his profile page back to the blue brand.

It would seem that the WWE now has a plan for Otis, which is more than can be said for the last couple of months. It was clear that there was never any long-term plan for Otis and the contract, as he was never going to be the calibre of superstar that could realistically cash in and beat either Randy Orton or Roman Reigns.

WWE News: Best Decision To Lose MITB

It was fun while it lasted, and Otis winning the MITB contract was certainly one of the most shocking moments that we have seen in the WWE over the past couple of years.

However, the change in ownership needed to happen because the longer Otis had the contract, the more long-term damage he was doing for its importance.

The Miz is the best possible person to hold the briefcase, as he has cashed in before and does deserve another title opportunity. He is one of the hardest working superstars in the company, but when he would cash in the briefcase is anybody’s guess.

Miz will have until Money in the Bank next year to cash in, which is not a million miles away. However, we will have to wait and see when the Miz decides to cash in.
