While Farooq and Bradshaw were both tough, powerful bruisers—a former World Champion and a future World Champion—they seemed like an odd pairing.
Farooq was on his own after The Nation of Domination booted him and Bradshaw was flying solo after the failed Blackjacks didn’t take off.
Paired together, they formed a basic but effect power duo. This fifth spot was a hard pick because it’s the Attitude Era—few teams that scored tag team gold really looked dominant since they lost belt in short order.
Edge & Christian: The Chairmen of WWE
This duo came together as a team towards the middle of the Attitude Era but it wasn’t until they shed the Brood affiliation that they popped.
What also made Edge & Christian a team to watch was their charisma. Together, they were this awesome comedic duo who were serious about chasing gold.
The Hardy Boyz: Ladder Match Gods
Of the teams on this list, The Hardy Boyz were probably the most exciting. That’s a tall order following Edge & Christian and leading into our number one entry.
From their time as members of The Brood to their three-team battles late into the Attitude Era, this brotherly team from North Carolina delivered tons of OMG moments!
The Dudley Boyz: Double Tables Tyrants
This team had a lengthy, intense rivalry with the two above-mentioned tandems. They were aggressive in hunting down champions and taking the belts off of them.
The Dudley Boyz delivered some of the best tag team bouts with Edge & Christian and the Hardy’s as well as some of the most memorable moments of the Era.
The New Age Outlaws: Greatest Tag Team of the Attitude Era
If you want to talk dominant tag teams in WWE during the Attitude Era, the correct answer is the New Age Outlaws.
While they weren’t aggressively dominant like The Dudley Boyz, they were the team that was hard to keep the belts from. NAO also had the lengthier reigns of the Era.
Remember, the belts in WWE were constantly changing hands during the Attitude Era. For a team or wrestler to hold a title for anything longer than three weeks was really something.
