Survivor Series is fast approaching, but the typical invasion angle that is standard before Raw and SmackDown go to war hasn’t happened yet. However, it should happen at some point very soon, as both brands look to gain the advantage before the huge event in November.
But, could that night come this evening, as SmackDown make the first move in the battle for brand supremacy? And, which superstars could be on the receiving end of a beat down?
WWE News: Tag Team Champions Head To Raw
There was an interesting segment during SmackDown this past week, as The Street Profits turned to Big E for help for their upcoming match against The New Day. Big E knocked the SmackDown Tag Team champions back, and revealed that he thought his former brothers would be the ones to win the match. However, could that be a ploy and there may be something else happening behind the scenes?
Big E was kept on SmackDown after the recent draft, while the remainder of the record-breaking tag team moved to Raw. This Monday could see a huge shift on Big E’s character, as he could invade Raw and take out his former brothers and help the tag champions on his own brand. It would certainly be a huge turn, as all three members of the New Day have always revealed that they would never turn on each other. But, it could be exactly what Big E needs moving forward.
WWE News: Could The New Day Lose Their Tag Titles?
Last week on Raw, Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston took on Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin of The Hurt Business, and were beaten. It feels like it has been a long time coming since The Hurt Business are clearly one of the best teams on Raw, but it may not be too much longer until they are the tag team champions on Raw.
That could happen tonight after the interference, which would mean that The Street Profits will no longer be taking on the New Day at Survivor Series. There is certainly more of a match to be had between The Hurt Business and The Street Profits, as the relationship between the reigning champions on SmackDown and Raw isn’t one that is fuelled with hatred. The New Day’s title reign could be in the most danger of ending before the huge PPV.
