The final episode of WWE television before the TLC PPV airs this evening, and there promises to be an action-packed night ahead of the eagerly-anticipated PPV this weekend. There will likely be a number of engaging segments throughout the show this evening, and these are three of the things that we could see happening tonight before the attention of fans swiftly turn towards the TLC event on Sunday night.
WWE SmackDown: Owens and Bryan Join Forces
It has been rumoured for months that Daniel Bryan and Kevin Owens could join forces in the face of a common foe, and that moment could finally come this evening. Owens has been outnumbered on SmackDown for the past couple of weeks and has felt the full force of the Tribal Chief and his cousin Jey Uso. The numbers game has been a prominent factor in the rivalry to this point, and Owens may look to level the playing field on Friday night as a tag team match is booked.
Owens could call upon Bryan to help him against Reigns and Uso, which would make sense as Bryan also has his own score to settle with Uso. It would also be a natural progression to the teased rivalry between Bryan and Reigns at the Royal Rumble.
WWE SmackDown: Final Face Off Between Banks And Carmella
It has already been revealed that Sasha Banks and Carmella will face off for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at TLC, but we could see one final tense stare down before the two women go to war this weekend. Their rivalry is already a fairly heated one and has gotten pretty personal very quickly.
Some fans have been surprised that the relationship between Carmella and Corey Graves hasn’t been used to this point, but that could change this evening. That would be the obvious thing to do, as Graves will likely be biased towards his real life girlfriend during commentary when the women battle on Sunday.
WWE SmackDown: Bayley And Bianca Belair Tear The House Down
There will be some engaging matches taking place on SmackDown this week, but none of those are as exciting as the prospect of seeing Bayley taking on Bianca Belair. There is no doubt that Belair is an absolute star and is a certainty to win a world championship at some point in her career.
Pitting her against the former record-breaking champion is an excellent starting point. Regardless of the result, the match promises to be one of the best that we have seen on SmackDown in some time.
