2021 is starting off with some very good news, a promising start. This comes from wrestling legend, and soon to be two time Hall of Famer, Sean Waltman aka X-Pac, Syxx Pac, or 1-2-3 Kid. On the latest episode of the X-Pac 12360 podcast, he revealed that he has been given an all clear from Hepatitis C. He had tested positive back during his time in TNA, and that prevented him from being cleared to wrestle, until now. At 48 years old, he’s gearing up for hopefully one last run.
One Last Run Before Retirement
On this episode of the 12360 podcast, he mentioned how he feels he’s got some matches left in the tank. Up until 2019 he managed to wrestle some small low-risk matches in indy promotions such as AAW, Glory Pro, and PCW, but now he’s fully cleared across the board. He just needs to recover from an ACL injury, and intends to push off for one final run.
“I could do a regular schedule, I don’t know if I want to. I’ve probably got half a dozen good, hard matches in me. When I tore my ACL, I’ve had some really good matches, even with that. I just want to get it fixed, it’s not that I can’t have matches with it. If I’m going to do a last run, I want that to be fixed.”
X-Pac has been around in the industry since he was 19, wrestling first in 1990 for Pro Wrestling America. He’s been on TV since 1991 with Global Wrestling Federation, and obviously carries a strong legacy. Having one more top level run would be a great way to top it off.
Could X-Pac Be In The 2021 Royal Rumble?
While he hopes to get his ACL fixed before going an hard matches, there could be a way for him to get back into the mix in a lighter way in the next month. He’s now cleared by WWE again, and Royal Rumble is right around the corner. It will be an odd Rumble event, one without fans, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have some surprises.
With him likely getting his second induction as part of the N.W.O later this year, having him in the Royal Rumble would be a nice way to set that up again. Do you want to see X-Pac back in WWE? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
