Hello and welcome to WWE Smackdown Results! Tonight should be a good one heading into the Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
With so many unanswered questions waiting for us, let’s dive into the action!
Daniel Brayan started the show off in the ring and welcomed us to Friday Night Smackdown and Royal Rumble weekend.
He said now that we’re so close, he can feel the excitement bubbling within him as he’s accomplished a lot in his career, but he hasn’t won the Royal Rumble match.
Didn’t we hear this speech last week?
He added how winning the Rumble means they’ll main event at WrestleMania, and he wants to climb that mountain one more time. He knows it means he has to get through 29 other men, but he’s up to it.
Bryan pointed out that he doesn’t know how many more WrestleMania moments he has left, but he knows it involves winning the Royal Rumble match.
He thanked Otis, Chad Gable, and the Alpha Academy for getting him ready for it and he said he’s ready for anything.
We never know what’ll happen as best friends will throw each other over the top ropes, the worst of enemies helping out.
Styles just can’t avoid it
He was interrupted by AJ Styles who stopped in from Raw to claim he’s going to win and main event WrestleMania.
Bryan pointed out that this is Smackdown and Styles is a Raw superstar and asked what he’s doing there.
Styles mocked him by saying what’s he doing in the house AJ Styles built? He then answered how any superstar can cross over in any quarter and that he doesn’t make the rules.
Styles went on to say that since he declared his entrance, he’s had to face several opponents and crushed their dreams.
He then asked Bryan if he’s a GM again, and said it looks like he has one foot out the door.
Bryan said he doesn’t have one foot out the door, and challenged Styles to a match tonight to prove it.
Styles said he’s been getting ready by beating everyone on Raw and he’s happy to have another warmup match before the pay-per-view.
Styles shoved Bryan down, but when Bryan started to get up Omos stepped between them and Bryan looked up at the giant.
Bryan told Styles if he was a real man and had any guts, he’d come out for their match without Omos.
When Styles climbed out of the ring, Bryan promised to beat him with or without Omos.
Backstage, Kayla Braxton reminded us of the quarterly brand to brand exchange program, she welcomed in Bayley and started by pointing out how Bianca Belair beating her last week.
Bayley stopped her, saying she’s better than that and pointed out how Belair ended the evening holding her shoulder after Bayley threw her into a barricade.
He then went on about how Belair’s chronicle showed how she ran away from every problem half of her life and she won’t win the Rumble or tonight. WWE Smackdown Results can’t wait for this one.
