WWE Raw Results tuned back in as Charlotte Flair said Lacey Evans will know what it means to play dirty when she steps in the ring with her, and said she feels bad for her mistake and it costing Asuka the tag titles.
Asuka said if it wasn’t for Ric Flair and Evans’ disruption, they would’ve won.
Flair then said winning the tag team championships back is the only thing on her mind.
Number One Contenders Triple Threat Tag Team Match – Charlotte Flair and Asuka vs. Dana Brooke and Mandy Rose vs. Lana and Naomi
Naomi and Flair started things off and Flair slapped on a side headlock, and then dropped Naomi with a shoulder block off the ropes.
They then hit a simultaneous dropkick, appearing to be as equal as possible.
Naomi ducked a clothesline and went for a rear waist lock that Flair fought out of with a reverse elbow.
Rose and Asuka blind tagged in and hit another simultaneous dropkick before Asuka rolled Rose up for a near pin.
Lana and Brooke blind tagged in and Lana rolled Brooke up for a pin attempt.
Brooke hit a knee then a cartwheel reserves elbow, then threw Lana into a knee by Rose for a pin attempt that Asuka broke up.
Rose took Asuka down with a clothesline, then knocked Naomi off the apron.
Brooke tagged in and they hit a double face plant, and Rose knocked Flair off the apron as we headed to commercial.
Charlotte’s drama unfolds
Back from commercial, Brooke was in control over Flair following choking her out in the corner.
She went for one of her hundred and one handstand moves, but Flair caught her with a forearm for a pin attempt.
Flair used a leg scissors to slam Brooke’s head into the mat numerous times, and then flip her across the ring so Rose could tag in.
Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax watched from backstage as Rose gained the upper hand on Flair and threw her into the corner.
Flair rolled over the ropes and caught Rose with a shoulder and then a rollup pin attempt.
Flair hit a kick, but missed a charge in the corner. Rose hit with several strikes and Brooke tagged in.
Brooke hit a handstand splash for a pin attempt, then ate a kick by Flair as she tried to fight out of their corner.
Brooke held on, and they went for a double suplex, but Flair laned on her feet and hit a double clothesline.
Asuka tagged in and dropped Rose with an elbow, and then a hip attack, a release German suplex, and sliding dropkick for a pin attempt.
Asuka headed to the top rope and hit a missile dropkick to send her to Lana and Naomi’s corner.
Lana tagged herself in, and Flair dropped her with a clothesline and then knocked Naomi off the apron with a right.
Flair hit Lana with a right and went for a couple of pin attempts, and then locked in a reverse chin lock before slamming Lana onto the mat.
Flair went for a powerbomb, but Lana hit some elbows and hit a hurricanrana to tag in Naomi.
Naomi hit Flair with a flying clothesline, and elbow, and jawbreaker before she hammered on Flair.
She nailed Flair with a kick off the ropes for a near pinfall.
Lana tagged in and hit a double knee to Flairs’ back, but she ran into a big boot.
Rose Hit Flair with a Knee Pump before she could slap on the figure 4, Naomi hit Rose with a kick, and Brooke hit Naomi with a handstand neckbreaker.
Asuka hit Brooke with a double knee to the face and Flair followed it with a Natural Selection as Ric Flair’s music started and he and Lacey Evans came out.
Flair tagged in Asuka out of disgust, and Asuka looked surprised.
Flair left the ring to confront her father and Naomi hit Asuka with a Rearview for the win.
So Lana and Naomi will face Baszler and Jax for the tag titles. This should be a good one, though it feels a wee bit underwhelming to us.
McIntyre’s response
McIntyre was asked about Sheamus’ attack after the weekend he’s had, and how he was feeling about it.
He said he would’ve been honored to face Edge ar WrestleMania. As far as for Sheamus, families fight all the time and they’ve fought more times than he can count and didn’t know what to say.
McIntyre granted Sheamus his match after mentioned their 20 plus year friendship being thrown away, including spending Christmases together.
McIntyre did a great job selling the hurt and pain he’s in, and WWE Raw Results are curious how they’re going to play this when McIntyre would’ve given Sheamus a match if he’d asked.
