Back during the failed reboot of ECW, Tyler Reks was one of the many new faces who came onto the scene, and failed to make much of a splash in WWE. Despite an imposing look at 6’5, and solid in-ring skills, there just wasn’t much chance of them becoming a breakout star.
They’d make it to WrestleMania 26 in the pre-show battle royale, had a short lived tag team with Curt Hawkins and an even more short lived YouTube series in ‘MidCard Mafia’, and be released from WWE in 2014, retiring from the ring soon after.
Most wrestling fans forgot about Tyler Reks, until recently. At 42 years old, she has come out as a transgender woman, and took on the new name of Gabbi Tuft.
First Time Tyler Reks Has Been In The News In Years
Once this was announced on Instagram by Gabbi Tuft, it quickly made the rounds on the internet. Coming out can be a horribly stressful process, but the reaction to this news has generally been very positive.
“This is me. Unashamed, unabashedly me. This is the side of me that has hidden in the shadows, afraid and fearful of what the world would think; afraid of what my family, friends, and followers would say or do. Seeing someone be able to truly be themselves after decades of feeling they were trapped in the wrong body is great to see, and the kind of good news we need in bleak times.

At a glance it seems to be a very popular service, and likely one that got a boost thanks to this news.
