Isaiah ‘Swerve’ Scott has a new attitude. He’s tired of playing nice, and will now just take the chances he deserves. One person he has a big issue with is NXT newcomer Leon Ruff. Ruff has already become and lost the NXT North American Championship, and Swerve feels like Ruff didn’t deserve that at all. They clash tonight, and we’ll see who’s better.
Never Count Leon Ruff Out
Despite being a former NXT North American Champion, Ruff was easily outpowered by Swerve and sent into the corner. Ruff came out with some strikes, before hitting some deep arm drags. Swerve would trick Ruff out in the corner, before being fooled by the fancy footwork of Ruff on the ropes. Ruff managed to remain in control until taking a bicycle knee strike and a huge backbreaker.
Swerve was more bitter than we’ve ever seen him, and he was taking it out on Ruff tonight. Ruff was sent to the outside, and nailed with a huge pump kick. This got a near fall, before Ruff was locked up in a body scissors. Ruff would fight out with elbows, and nail one beneath the jaw to avoid a full nelson.
Swerve Gets Caught
Swerve was rocked with a big lariat, before being hit with the twisting cutter out of the corner, getting a near fall. Ruff simply pinned Swerve too close to the ropes, allowing the veteran to get the rope break. Swerve took some strikes, fired up, but missed the House Call kick and took a big double stomp to the neck.
Ruff was rocked with a spinning lariat, but countered the Death Valley Driver attempt into a huge Crucifix Driver. The same move that won him the NXT North American Championship just knocked off Swerve. Swerve extended a hand, before knocking Ruff down and stomping him into the mat. Ruff would be thrown into the corner with a Death Valley Driver, before Swerve told him he’s tired of being overlooked.
