WWE Raw Results tuned in as the match started and Naomi went right after Jax, and Jax shoved her into the ropes and nailed her with a shoulder block.
Jax then threw her across the ring by her hair while trash talking and belittling Naomi.
Naomi hit a right and Jax shoved her back into a corner. Naomi caught her charge with a boot, then sidestepped her and hit a jawbreaker.
After a quick flurry, Jax hit a pair of elbows to drop her, then she locked Naomi in a bear hug. Naomi hit a couple of elbows and slipped over Jax’s back and tried a sunset flip.
Jax picked her up and hit a headbutt, then a Samoan Drop before calling out Lana.
Jax then hit a powerbomb/chokeslam for the win in a dominate showing against one half of their challengers for the tag team championship.
We can’t say we’re surprised as Jax has been booked as a monster and she dominates just about everyone in the ring lately.
Though it would’ve been nice to see Naomi put up more of a fight. Maybe a near pinfall? Just a thought.
A Rhea Ripley promo for her nearing debut on WWE Raw welcomed us back. We seriously can’t wait for her to appear on Raw. She’s going to make things so much more exciting and fun.
WWE Championship – The Miz (c) w/John Morrison vs. Bobby Lashley w/MVP
Bobby Lashley came out with MVP for his match, but we expect the Miz to have something up his sleeve. We shall see.
There was a delay and Lashley started pacing before the Miz’s music started two minutes past nine despite the commentator’s claims.
But there was no Miz.
Cameras switched to backstage where Miz was in pain and Morrison told Pearce he was sick.
The Miz said he’s cramping up and was puking all day. His doctor told him not to wrestle. Sounds like Brian Myers’ current angle in Impact Wrestling. Just saying.
Pearce told him he has to honor his obligation as Lashley headed to the back.
Miz kept whining about people laughing at him and asking for more time as Lashley ran up to him and grabbed him by the face and threw him to the ground.
Pearce then told Miz that even if he has to carry him out there himself he will defend the WWE Championship at 10 p.m.
