WWE Smackdown Results returned as Sami Zayn made sure to point out the Street Profits’ win last week was just a fluke, and Corbin came out and told him to stop.
He said they’re not partners and refused to team with Sami. He then asked Dawkins and Ford if either of them wanted a singles match.
Ford accepted and it looks like Dawkins will face Zayn.
Zayn then accused them all of setting him up and claimed he can’t be in a singles match since he was ready for a tag match.
Montez Ford w/Angelo Dawkins vs. King Corbin w/Sami Zayn
Corbin hit a knee during the initial lockup and whipped Ford into a corner, but Ford flipped over him and he hit Corbin with a pair of dropkicks.
Corbin caught him with a spinebuster off the ropes for a near pinfall.
Corbin then worked over Ford’s midsection with blows in the corner, and then threw him off the opposite corner on a whip.
An atomic slam instead of drop followed, and Corbin got cocky.
Ford used the time to jump onto Corbin’s back and lock in a reverse chin lock before slipping off and hitting Corbin with a superkick, dropkick, and a DDT off the ropes.
Ford kipped up and hit a standing moonsault for a near pinfall, then Ford headed to the top ropes. Zayn distracted him, so Ford jumped down and Corbin tried to roll him up but Ford rolled through the hold.
Ford then hit a step up kick, but Corbin hit an End of Days for the win.
Since Zayn helped Corbin, will Corbin help him?
Zayn mentioned this to him on the floor, and Dawkins knocked Zayn off the apron and into Corbin, sending Corbin into the barricade.
Corbin then left Zayn to fend for himself.
Sami Zayn vs. Angelo Dawkins w/Montez Ford
The match was underway when we returned from commercial, and Dawkins was in control and he bounced Zayn off various turnbuckles.
Zayn tried to slip out of the ring but Dawkins grabbed him. Zayn held onto the ropes to break the hold, then kicked Dawkins and slapped on a side headlock.
Dawkins hit a shoulder block off the ropes, and after a few ducks and leapfrogs off the ropes, he hit a dropkick for a near pinfall.
Zayn held onto the ropes and headed to the floor and Dawkins followed, Zayn hit him with a kick then slammed his face into the barricade.
Zayn the slammed him into the ring apron before sending him into the ring and hitting a forearm from behind for a near pinfall.
Zayn stomped Dawkins, then his with a series of rights before he choked Dawkins out on the middle rope while mocking Ford at ringside.
Zayn then hit a clothesline off the ropes for a trio of pin attempts but Dawkins wouldn’t quit.
Zayn hit with another right then whipped Dawkins into the ropes, and Dawkins hit him with a pair of clotheslines and a corkscrew back elbow.
He then hit a corkscrew splash in the corner and a bulldog off the ropes for a near pinfall.
Zayn fought out of a suplex attempt, but Dawkins hit a neckbreaker instead for another near pinfall.
Zayne rolled to the apron and hung Dawkins up on the top rope, then tried a Blue Thunder Bomb but Dawkins fought out of it.
Zayn ducked a splash and hit an exploder into the turnbuckle.
Ford distracted him by occupying Zayn’s camera crew so Dawkins could roll him up for the win.
Zayn was beyond shocked and demanded who was behind this and asked who the one camera man was. he said he never paid him, and hit a couple of knees while demanding answers.
