Hello and welcome to WWE Smackdown Results!
Tonight should be a fun one as Sami Zayn debuts his conspiracy film with Youtuber Logan Paul in attendance, and some more fun surrounding the Universal Championship is in the air.
We’re getting closer to WrestleMania, so let’s get to the action.
Edge started the show off by coming out to the ring and he does not look happy.
He started out explaining what happened at Fastlane and last week didn’t need to happen, but then maybe it did?
He said he might’ve been naïve to think the Road to WrestleMania could be done without any speedbumps or roadkill like Daniel Bryan, which he is after conniving his way into Edge’s WrestleMania main event.
He added that he thought Bryan would understand where he was coming from after he told him he’s one of the reasons his comeback was possible.
He was even intrigued with teaming with Bryan at Fastlane, but it wasn’t enough for Bryan.
Edge said he was so focused on Roman Reigns that he didn’t see Bryan coming and it’s on him. If anyone should see an opportunist or manipulator coming it should’ve been him and the lesson’s been learned.
He then ran through all of the scenarios Bryan threw out last week and mocked each other them as being heroic and brave.
Edge admitted he was outplayed after hearing Adam Pearce’s decision and though he’s angry with Bryan he has to thank him because now he finally see the Rated R Superstar in the mirror.
Edge then called up the Universal Championship match and faux praised Pearce’s validation for his paycheck.
He doesn’t think Pearce, Reigns, or Bryan understands what they’ve done, and he said he snapped after waking up.
Edge seeks his own validation
He said he’s a man Reigns and Bryan aspires to be as a WWE Hall of Fame Legend, opportunist, and the Rated R Superstar.
Last week when he felt the chair as he crashed it into Reigns and Bryan it felt good, and he was thisclose to hitting a conchairto and he won’t hesitate the next time he has his chance.
It’s been a while since WWE Smackdown Results have seen a conchairto. Maybe we’ll get one tonight?
This was a top flight promo that did more for their match than most of the build up to this point, and took us back to yesteryear.
Backstage, Edge headed was stopped by Kayla Braxton and she said how he didn’t address tonight’s street fight between Bryan and Jey Uso and Jey’s there’s to take Bryan out.
He said he doesn’t feel bad if Jey beats him senseless and no part of him will feel badly if Bryan can’t make it to WrestleMania. In fact, he’ll enjoy it.
