This coming Friday on Smackdown Live, YouTuber turned Boxer Logan Paul will be making his WWE debut. He’s the Honored Guest of Sami Zayn for the red carpet ceremony leading to the debut of Zayn’s documentaries trailer. Logan Paul is a polarizing name for many due to his antics on YouTube, but he’s undoubtedly popular. His recent boxing match with KSI pulled in over a million buys on YouTube PPV, showing a clear audience.
However, this will just be leading to a bigger appearance from Logan Paul. With him now potentially getting involved with the Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn feud that is leading into Wrestlemania, could Logan Paul be set to make an appearance at the biggest WWE show of the year?
Logan Paul Set To Special Guest Referee At Wrestlemania 37
Yesterday on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer dropped some news he heard from one of his sources within WWE. This is that Logan Paul will have some involvement in the match between Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens at Wrestlemania 37. The current rumor is that he will be wearing the striped shirt to serve as a special guest referee, but could also simply be in the corner of one of the two men.
This could help bring more eyes to the match between Owens & Zayn, which is sure to be incredible given the past history of these two individuals both within WWE and in companies like Ring Of Honor or Pro Wrestling Guerilla. So long as the involvement of Logan Paul doesn’t impact the action in the match, few fans will likely have an issue with him being in the mix.
Potentially Getting Physical
While those out of the loop on Logan Paul might just remember him as a YouTuber, Paul is also now a professional boxer. He’s got a planned fight with Floyd Mayweather, which was set for February 2021 but got postponed. This means that there is a strong chance that Paul is able to get physical with either Owens or Zayn on the build to this Wrestlemania match.
His involvement is already getting the match between Owens & Zayn more news coverage than it would have gotten otherwise. Now have him take a Stunner or Helluva Kick on Smackdown? That could be headline news for some, and make this one of the biggest matches at Wrestlemania.
