WWE Smackdown Preview is all set for tonight’s Go Home episode for WrestleMania Backlash and we expect plenty of back and forths to continue hyping the Universal Championship match.
Last week, Cesaro showed he’s more than capable of facing down Roman Reigns and Jimmy and Jey Uso, and tonight should be no different.
We expect Reigns and Cesaro to have a back and forth to further hype their match, but the focus may not fully be on them.
Jimmy Uso tried to convince his brother not to help Reigns at the end, and then jumped in to Help Jey when Cesaro gained the upper hand.
This week will be a continuation of Jimmy trying to open Jey’s eyes and it could lead to a possible confrontation down the road.
Until then, Jimmy won’t completely turn his back on Jey, and it could lead to another match we’re not expecting.
The Kevin Owens factor
Kevin Owens told Paul Heyman not to forget about him, which gives us reason to expect him to enter into another feud with Reigns after WrestleMania Backlash.
Tonight, we expect him to continue nibbling at the fringes of the Table as he may team up with Jimmy to try to figure out how to get Jey away from Reigns.
This has the potential to go sideways because if it ends up being an Owens vs. Jey match, we don’t think Jimmy will be able to watch his brother take a beating.
He’s shown he’s unwilling to leave Jey to suffer no matter what, and that could be what ends up pulling him into the fold deeper.
There’s also a chance that Owens will have a bigger problem in Commander Azeez as he’s proven to be a major pain in Owens’ quest to achieve retribution from Crews in what looks like another potential feud.
In short, we think Owens is going to be tied up in a few storylines tonight as he’s going to pick a fight or three for WrestleMania Backlash.
Maybe even a triple threat match for the Intercontinental Championship? Crews won’t like it, and neither will Big E. Though we think Big E wouldn’t care as much as he’ll just want his title back.
There’s plenty of room for lots of storytelling tonight, and WWE Smackdown Preview can’t wait to see how it all unfolds.
