At NXT Takeover: Stand & Deliver in the pre show match of Night One, Zoey Stark was able to defeat Toni Storm. As a veteran talent, Storm was annoyed that she lost to a rookie. This got even worse, when a distraction from Stark would allow Zayda Ramier to get a win over Storm. Tonight, Storm has the chance to redeem this embarrassment, as she takes on Zoey Stark once again.

Toni Storm Gets This One To Her Pace

This grudge match managed to not start with a pre-match brawl, but a slap to the face of Stark led to Storm getting driven into the corner. Stark nailed a dropkick to send Storm to the outside, and she kept the pressure on outside the ring with a vaulting plancha. Storm was thrown back into the ring, hit with a springboard dropkick, and sent out the otherside.

Stark would be yanked off the apron this time, and Storm would drive her into the steel steps, before crushing Stark between the steel steps and her hip. Getting back in the ring before losing via count-out, Stark was finding it hard to get her offense moving, as Storm hit a snap suplex before applying a submission.

Stark broke free only to take a forearm shot to the face, before being thrown across the ring. Storm would nail a backbreaker, before bending Stark over her knee in the middle of the ring. Following this up was some forearm shots from Storm, before Stark was able to nail a jumping enziguri.

Zoey Stark Makes Storm Question Her Finisher

Stark would do her best to maintain control through the break, but Storm threw her out of the ring as soon as she got some momentum. She’d manage to get a two count off a roll up when she got back in, before again being locked in a submission in the middle of the ring. Storm had a tight sleeper hold applied, but Stark was able to fight her way free.

They’d trade forearm shots in the middle of the ring, before Stark nailed a picture perfect superkick before a sliding lariat. A sliding knee trembler was able to get a two count, before Storm looked for Storm Zero. Stark countered into a roll up for a two count, before tossing Storm with a Half & Half Suplex for another near fall.

Storm countered the modified Go To Sleep, and nailed a German Suplex. Stark would be hit with Storm Zero, but somehow kick out just before three. However, the veteran experience of Storm kept her leveled, before she nailed a twisting snap brainbuster for the win.

Storm & Stark are two for two with good matches, but fail to reach that next level. This was a solid match, and Storm pulling out a new finisher to win is just what she needed to get things moving again. Match Rating: 3/5 (***)

Following the match, Franky Monet came out to say that her debut comes next week, presumably against Toni Storm. Will her debut be worth the wait? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
