Impact Wrestling is one of the best companies in professional wrestling when it comes to off the wall creative vignettes that are covered in cheese, and their latest is Swinger’s Palace.
In the same comical vein as Wrestle House, Swinger’s Palace is designed as a meeting area for various wrestlers to cross paths to set up matches and for us to have a few laughs at their bad jokes.
Johnny Swinger funded it after he got his hands on Hernandez’s roll of money, and since then it’s been a favorite hangout.
Gathering of ideas
James Storm helped Chris Sabin become a beer swilling gambler while others like TJP, Josh Alexander, Petey Williams, and Ace Austin have made matches over their differences.

One of the latest was TJP finding Fallah Bahh working off his debt to Johnny Swinger as a Bahh-A-Rella.
TJP needed a tag partner after his last effort tanked, which caught Petey Williams’ ear and led to TJP and Bahh facing Williams and Josh Alexander next week.
Alisha Edwards spent time working there and John E. Bravo has been the dealer from day one. Hernandez is Swinger’s muscle and resident bouncer.
But it’s also given us some fun moments as many of us may have googled Swinger’s Palace only to find a real Swinger’s Palace and other swinger’s clubs being promoted.
It’s a pretty cool tie in to the real world and gives us something more to talk about when we want to throw out random facts at friends.
A cool hangout
What’s really cool about this is Johnny Swinger is basically from another era as his name implies and so there’s bound to be real world tie ins.
Creativity draws inspiration from everywhere, and it’s what makes things like Swinger’s Palace a fun segment that helps to move storylines along.
We see wrestlers disappear from television on a regular basis in various promotions, and this is a great way to keep them in the public eye while allowing them to have some goofy fun.
We’re sure one of these days Impact Wrestling will decide they don’t need Swinger’s Palace anymore and that’ll be a sad day.
As much as we love the pure athleticism of the sport, vignettes like these help loosen things up and add a good balance to the show.
