Xia Brookside missed the biggest chance of her career last week, all thanks to Amale. She was set to be in the gauntlet match to name a number one contender for the NXT UK Women’s Champion. Amale figured that beating Brookside down would get her in the match, but instead it just got her a match with Brookside tonight on NXT UK. The French Hope will learn that Brookside isn’t someone to be taken lightly, as she finally steps into the ring with a now angry second generation wrestler.
Xia Brookside Was A Bit Too Brash In This Match
Brookside went right after Amale as the bell rang, and nailed a dropkick to send Amale into the corner. A monkey flip sent Amale flying, but only got a one count. Brookside went to the arm of Amale with some quick armbreakers and cranks, before trying to bend the arm up in the ropes.
Amale slipped to the outside, and pulled Brookside to the floor, and drove her into the apron and threw her into the barricade. Back in the ring, Amale got some stomps before scooping Brookside up and slamming her. Brookside would be set up in the corner, and Amale nailed a running knee strike for a two count.
A running elbow strike got the same result, before Brookside was thrown back into the corner. Brookside fought back from the ground, but a clubbing blow shut her back down. Amale would be taken down after Brookside was able to outspeed her, and nail a dropkick.
A flying headscissor sent Brookside down, and as soon as Amale was up, Brookside nailed a running neckbreaker. Amale kicked out at two, and came back with a northern lights suplex for a near fall of her own. Brookside was thrown into the corner but countered the charge, only to be tripped on the rope and nailed with a spinebuster. A deep cover would allow Amale to get the pinfall.
Some strong undercard action from two rising stars in the NXT UK Women’s Division here. Amale has been ready to climb the card for a while now, but Brookside still has a way to go before she is ready. Match Rating: 2.75/5 (** 3/4)
