When you look at the top names in the NXT UK Men’s Division, they’ve all fallen to WALTER. Ilja Dragunov, Joe Coffey and Rampage Brown all tried their best, but came up short. Tonight, these three clash in a triple threat match, to see who is ready to get back on the road to a clash with The Ring General.
Joe Coffey & Rampage Brown Want To Fight Each Other
We’d start this one up with Brown & Coffey looking to brawl it out, with Dragunov getting between them and taking a headbutt. Coffey launched Brown with a back body drop, before running into big boots from both men. Dragunov was picked out of the sky with a powerslam from Brown, before Coffey took him down and Dragunov took Coffey with a boot.
Brown would toss Dragunov into a German Suplex from Coffey, before they clashed in the middle of the ring with Brown nailing a dropkick. Coffey fired back by driving Brown’s spine right into the turnbuckle before applying a Boston Crab. Dragunov would enter the ring to break the hold, but Coffey held on as Dragunov hit strikes, taking a running boot to finally get him to let it go.
Some hard chops to the neck from Dragunov would invite some liver punches from Coffey, before Brown took them both down. Brown set up a double suplex, showing some incredible power before looking for the Doctor Bomb. Coffey sent him over the top rope before he would be hit with the Gotch Lift German Suplex from Dragunov, who finished with a bridge that got a two count.
Ilja Dragunov Earns His Second Chance At WALTER
Brown would drop Coffey with a Samoan Drop, before Dragunov dove over Brown to get a senton bomb. Dragunov would meet Coffey again, as Brown hit a spinebuster onto Coffey using Dragunov. A defiant Dragunov would refuse to stay down, and blocked a lariat before hitting the spinning lariat out of the ropes to down Brown. Coffey rushed in at Dragunov, and took a knee to the face, before Dragunov went up top and hit a shotgun dropkick to Brown.
Dragunov would have no time to react as Coffey rushed in and nailed the Glasgow Sendoff, which crashed him into Brown. With both opponents spilling to the outside, Coffey would follow with a springboard crossbody. Back in the ring, Coffey nailed a shotgun dropkick on Dragunov, getting a two count. Black Coffey was hit, before Brown pounced Coffey out of the ring away from a pinfall.Brown hit a savage looking powerslam on the outside to take Coffey down, before taking on Dragunov in the ring.
Dragunov fired up and nailed a series of Suplexes, before Coffey came back and Brown was able to fight back with a German Suplex to both men. Brown missed a big boot into the corner and was dropped with an Electric Chair by Coffey. Coffey went for Black Coffey on Brown, as Dragunov hit Torpedo Moskau. Brown would finish Coffey off with the Doctor Bomb, before taking a springboard Torpedo Moskau to end the match. Ilja Dragunov earned this one.
These three heavy hitters were always going to give a strong fight, with Brown & Dragunov being two of the best in NXT UK, and Coffey rose to the occasion as well. Match Rating: 3.75/5 (*** 3/4)
