    WWE Smackdown Results (7/2) – Edge Answers Jimmy Uso’s Challenge and Sends a Message; Liv Morgan Defeated Zelina Vega by Pinfall; Otis w/Chad Gable Destroyed Angelo Dawkins

    WWE Smackdown Results came back as Rick Boogs stopped Corbin and ran off a series of king jokes. Corbin asked him if it’s funny to him, and told him to screw off.

    Sonya Deville was ready to make her next selection for the Women’s MITB Ladder Match.

    And her selection is… Zelina Vega.

    This is a cool surprise and we’re glad the rumors of her being seen at the Performance Center were legit.

    Vega announced her winning the MITB and challenging for a championship, and Liv Morgan came out to challenge this selection as well.

    Copy and paste much, WWE?

    This ended with a verbal exchange and a slap by Morgan and a challenge.

    Liv Morgan vs. Zelina Vega

    The match was underway when we returned from commercial, and Vega had a submission locked in, and then another in the ropes before going for a pin attempt.

    Morgan flipped out of the way but Vega caught her with a clothesline and then slammed her in the turnbuckle and a running knee for a pin attempt.

    After a series of rollups, Morgan tried another won for the win.

    Backstage, Seth Rollins approached Deville and Adam Pearce and introduced himself and listed his accomplishments to see if they remembered him since they gave Edge the match against Reigns instead of him.

    When told Edge deserves the opportunity, Rollins said he deserves a shot. Pearce’s reasoning is that Edge never got his one on one match.

    Deville told him he has the opportunity to win the MITB contract if he beats Cesaro in a qualification match next week.

    After a couple of deep breaths Rollins burst out laughing and left them.

    Angelo Dawkins vs. Otis w/Chad Gable

    Otis and Dawkins exchanged blows early, but Gable distracted Dawkins and Otis nailed him with a clothesline and then a belly to belly suplex.

    Otis bounced Dawkins out of the corner with a Irish Whip and hit another clothesline and then hit a splash from the second rope, then he dragged Dawkins toward the corner.

    Otis hit a Vader Bomb for the win to close it out.

    Jimmy approached Heyman and told him Reigns needs to know about what Edge is saying and doing, and Heyman said he operates on his own time.

    All Jimmy has to do is go out there and be Main Event Jimmy Uso.

    Jimmy headed to the ring to call Edge out,

    Jimmy wasted no time in asking Edge where he’s at and said it looks like it’s just the two of them and he doesn’t need Reigns there cause he can handle him all by himself.

    He doubted Edge being man enough to step into the ring and he promised it’s not a trap and it’s just them and told Edge to come out and face him.

    Edge eventually came out and pointed out Reigns is using him like he does Jey and worked to get into Jimmy’s head by asking him what happened to his backbone.

    Edge said Reigns laid a perfect trap but it’s not for him, it’s for Jimmy and headed to the ring.

    Edge ducked a clothesline and threw Jimmy into the ring post through the ropes, then ran him along the apron into the other ring post.

    Edge set up the steel ring stairs but Jimmy hit a superkick and bounced Edge off the ring stairs and threw Edge into the ring where he pounded on him with right hands.

    Edge hit a boot and then pounded on Jimmy, but still no Reigns. Edge then locked in a crossface and Jimmy tapped out and Edge released him and readied to hit a spear.

    Edge hit his spear and headed to the floor to grab a chair and broke off one of the support bars. Edge used the bar in Jimmy’s mouth and locked in another crossface while he called Reigns out.

    Edge released him and crawled to the camera and told Reigns he doesn’t stop.

    This was a weak ending as it felt like it missed something but we can’t quite figure out what it was. What do you think?
