It’s time for the annual mens Money In The Bank ladder match. The winner gets a title shot that can be used anytime in the next 365 days, and can often be an instant world championship. This time around, it’s John Morrison, Ricochet, Drew McIntyre, Riddle, Big E, Shinsuke Nakamura, Kevin Owens & Seth Rollins battling for the briefcase. Any of these men will be dangerous with the briefcase, and it will not be easy to reach the top of a ladder in the chaos.

Seth Rollins & John Morrison Set Up An Alliance

After McIntyre hit the ring and filled out the field, this chaotic brawl could begin. An eight man brawl broke out, with Riddle taking Rollins out before Ricochet dove over the top. Big E & McIntyre would be the two left in the ring, Riddle running in and being taken out before they could get into it. Riddle tried next and was thrown aside by McIntyre. McIntyre would toss Big E, before being sent to the apron and hit with a spear through the ropes.

Owens slipped into the ring alongside Nakamura with a ladder, and was thrown onto the ladder. Morrison would climb the ladder and be shoved off, landing on his feet. A poke to the eye of Nakamura stunned him, and Morrison vaulted over the ladder onto him. They’d climb up and Nakamura got a hanging armbar on top of the ladder, but Rollins broke the hold up.

Rollins & Morrison would square up before stomping out Nakamura instead. They’d control the ring, keeping Riddle & McIntyre out of the picture. Ricochet got into the ring and was dropped back first onto a ladder by Morrison. Rollins & Morrison brought their teamwork outside to grab a giant ladder, bridging it from ring to announce table. Owens fought back and got into the ring, but Rollins cut him off.

Back in the ring, as Rollins & Morrison held the ladder up, Owens hit a springboard moonsault and took them out. Rollins only avoided a powerbomb onto a ladder thanks to Morrison, before Owens went spine first onto the edge of the ladder. McIntyre finally hit the ring, and would take some control before also falling to the two on one assault.

The Biggest Win In The Career Of Big E

Morrison would come off the top rope with an elbow drop to McIntyre on a ladder, before Rollins took McIntyre down with it… and Morrison too. Riddle came into the ring and hit an RKO, before trading strikes with Nakamura and finding a stalemate before McIntyre hit a double claymore. Big E went after McIntyre and took a Future Shock, and Ricochet the reverse Alabama Slam into a ladder.

With everyone on the outside, McIntyre hit a dive over the top, with only Rollins getting into the ring only to take a claymore. McIntyre would nearly climb up before Veer & Shanky, the goons of Jinder Mahal would take him out. Mahal would brutalize McIntyre with a chair, and they’d all drag him to the back. This one is now a seven way match.

Ricochet & Riddle would battle for control ontop of a ladder, and Riddle slipped off to tip the ladder. We’d see Ricochet come off the ladder and go for a springboard senton to the outside to take everyone out before getting back in. Riddle looked for a Kimura, and Rollins tried to climb in the meantime. Big E took Rollins out, before Riddle hit an RKO on Big E & Ricochet, before being stomped by Rollins. Shinsuke nailed a Go To Sleep and climbed up top, only for Morrison to stop him with the Drip Stick. Owens would stop Morrison, before hitting a stunner, before taking Ricochet out with a powerbomb.

Rollins powerbombed him through the bridged ladder, and would start the climb only for Big E to meet him. Big Ending off the ladder was followed by the climb from Big E, and the win to the delight of the crowd.

This one delivered on the chaos the lineup suggested, with some insane spots, especially from Ricochet and Morrison. In the end, Big E was the perfect choice and he sold himself as a winner in this one. A very solid Money In The Bank match. Match Rating: 3.5/5 (*** 1/2)
