Urijah Faber may have retired from fighting, but he won’t let that stop him collecting a massive payday should the offer to take on former teammate TJ Dillashaw present itself.
Talking to Submission Radio, Faber described how he’d prefer not to fight Dillashaw, but if the money’s right it could be an option:
Urijah Faber TRASHES “creep” Dillashaw
“The only reason why I would do a fight with TJ, in particular, would be because they would probably pay me more for that one. If they don’t then I wouldn’t do it, and he’s probably the same way.”
Faber continued, choosing his words carefully to avoid slandering Dillashaw, while expressing his disgust with his former teammate:
“He doesn’t want to fight me. He’s been working hard to regain his… you know, try and keep his nose clean and tell his side of the story or whatever the deal is of his cheating scenarios.
He doesn’t need the gravedigger bringing up the f*cking bones of the last 10 years of him being a creep and a P.O.S.
So I don’t think it’s enticing to him on that front and for me, I would do it because there’d be a bounty on his head and probably vice versa.
All I can say is, he got caught for EPO, whatever it was. That’s all there’s proof of and I’ll just leave it at that.”
Faber seems to be implying that there’s more to Dillashaw’s illegal or amoral behavior than just the EPO he was caught using. If there’s more to the story, it’s likely that Dillashaw’s former teammates at Alpha Male know about it. Faber finished:
“It’s not important what I think about it. He knows. His family knows. Everybody knows what he was doing.
It’s not my business to put anything out there. Other people have gone out and said stuff about whether he was or wasn’t.
I know that he came to my team as a lifetime athlete who wrestled since he was a little kid and wrestled in college and worked out really, really hard and couldn’t bust 143lbs, and he was complaining about it.”
A return to the Octagon for two of the sport’s yesteryear stars might be a lucrative proposition for the UFC. Do you want to see a Faber v Dillashaw grudge match in the future? Who do you see winning between a resurgent TJ Dillashaw and a post-retirement Urijah Faber? Let us know in the comments.
