This would be a remarkable turnaround given the recent events that have transpired between the two. Meghan’s interview on CBS put Kate in a bad light, as she stressed that Kate had made her cry in the run-up to her wedding, only for the media to claim that the opposite had happened.
But after having reached out to each other following the birth of Meghan’s daughter, (Lilibet), things could not be going any better. A source told Us Weekly: “Meghan has been talking to her about collaborating on a project for Netflix, a documentary that will spotlight Kate’s charity work and the huge impact she’s made with her philanthropy.”
So will Kate take up the offer? Well, nothing has been said in that regard yet. But on closer inspection, it is highly possible for the following reasons. First of all, it would show Kate in a positive light and minimise the damage that has been done to the Royal family. Not only that, but it is another attempt at Meghan trying to patch things up.
There were similar reports that Kate could join Meghan’s 40×40 campaign— designed to allow women who had suffered from the pandemic to return to work through having a mentor. And by the sounds of it, Kate has been impressed. The source added: “Kate is very flattered, and it’s all very positive between them.”
This is fantastic news and eases the burden that has been placed on Queen Elizabeth II following the death of Prince Philip. There were concerns that the Queen could become overwhelmed by the manner in which Prince Harry’s exit played out, with the Royal family never being the same.
But if the reports over reconciliation are considered to be true, it has shown us that Harry and Meghan will make their unique contribution to the Royal family. They might not have their official powers, but if they can leave a positive mark on society through projects such as those discussed above, then who are we to criticise them?
