Back at the start of 2020, Dakota Kai brought Raquel Gonzalez in to help her defeat Tegan Nox in a street fight. Since then, they seemed inseparable. That was until Gonzalez became the NXT Women’s Champion. Then Dakota Kai was slowly being sucked into the shadow of Gonzalez. Therefore, it was time for her to do something, and she’d kick Gonzalez out. They will clash at Takeover, but tonight we will see them sit down for an interview.
Diamond Mine Shrug Off Loss To Ilja Dragunov, Still Focused On KUSHIDA
Before they’d meet up, we’d see Roderick Strong & Diamond Mine backstage. Bivens claimed the match earlier didn’t count as Dragunov was a heavyweight, and Strong is vying for the Cruiserweight Championship. They are staying on course, and KUSHIDA should remain on notice in the meantime.
Hopefully KUSHIDA is cleared soon, and we can see this match very soon. The nature of his injury has been kept very under wraps, with fans not knowing if it’s legitimate or storyline. We have to assume it could be either, which puts the NXT Cruiserweight Championship at risk.
Raquel Gonzalez Was Waiting For Gonzalez To Betray Her
The first question asked would be to Gonzalez. Did she ever expect Kai to become her enemy? Well Gonzalez wasn’t surprised. Kai turned on Nox, and she was ready for Kai to do it to her eventually. Gonzalez has been tearing through the division for a year now, and is now a star.
However, Kai taught Gonzalez everything she knows… but not everything Kai knows. It just took one kick, which landed before Gonzalez even got her hands up. She can do that again at Takeover. However, Gonzalez hopes to prove that she can tear down Kai, and show the world who she truly is. Gonzalez views her as a snake, but at Takeover 36? Kai just wants to be called champion.
